My whole life has been a lie.
I was sheltered and raised in a Catholic household. I was taught to dress a certain way. Behave a certain way. Never having any free will of my own.
But all my Catholic beliefs went out the window when I met him.
I was only sixteen at the time.
Deimos…his name sounded so good coming out of my mouth.
Rumors were spread that Demios was just a myth that parents told their daughters to scare them into being obedient or else they would meet Deimos, the GOD of Terror and Dread.
I was determined to prove his existence, but I never imagined that the truth would be even more dangerous than lies.
As I dove deeper into the mystery, things got more complicated when I met Alexander, the handsome tattoo artist. My feelings for him became more apparent.
I never imagined I could love two people simultaneously.
Could I trust my heart? Or would it lead me down a path of destruction?
As the stakes increased and the dangers intensified, I had to make a choice: continue my search and risk everything to be with Deimos or lose my chance with Alexander.

He is the darkness to her light, but he also wasn’t expecting her darkness to be in there either. He learns why she has that darkness in there and it throws him off his feet and for a loop. He is a Greek god if there ever was one, and he is the darkness to everyone’s end. I’m totally here for it and love him!! And there’s absolutely nothing, and I mean NOTHING, he won’t do to protect her.
Bluenose did a beautiful job producing this in duet style. Lucy Rivers as always did a standup job and absolutely love her! This was my first for Richard Sawyer and he definitely deserves the applause that he gets for this. I loved when he got the deep growl the most!!
It ended to soon haha

The Tattoo Artist was a very good listen. Lucy Rivers and Richard Sawyer did a great job in duet narration, really bringing the story and characters to life.
This was an interesting read in the best way. While I did manage to figure out a few things early on, I definitely didn’t predict everything. The twists took the story in directions I wasn’t fully expecting, and I was pleasantly surprised by where it went.
This is a new to me author, and after listening to this, I’ll absolutely be checking out more of Kassandra Marie Lopez’s work. If you enjoy audiobooks with solid twists and engaging narration, I highly recommend giving this one a listen.

Amazing Duet Narration performed by voice actors Lucy Rivers & Richard Sawyer
I must say, many times I would scratch my head as Quinn talked about an experience, only to be suddenly brought back to her current situation. It seemed like it was happening in real-time, but then it was like she snapped out of a daydream. It was wild and sometimes dangerous situations that occurred more frequently as the story progressed. The plot twists in this book surprised me, which was a nice change of pace from most stories lately. This book contains various trigger warnings, so if you are interested in reading/listening, please review them. Also, there is a lot of open door, very descriptive spice. Some situations may bother people.

From the moment it starts, The Tattoo Artist pulls you into a gritty, seductive world where pain, art, and desire blur together. The chemistry? Electric. The tension? Slow-burn and deliciously heavy. Every scene feels intentional, raw, and immersive.
Lucy Rivers and Richard Sawyer absolutely own this duet narration. Their voices don’t just tell the story—they become the characters. You feel every unspoken emotion, every brush of longing, every moment of vulnerability. It’s one of those audiobooks where you forget you’re listening and start living inside it.
The tattoo shop setting adds a dark, artistic edge that makes the romance feel even more intimate and intense. This story explores connection, healing, and desire in a way that feels messy, real, and unforgettable.
🖤 Perfect for listeners who love:
Tattoo artist romance
Dark & emotional love stories
Slow-burn tension
Duet narration done RIGHT
Characters with scars—inside and out

The Tattoo Artist is the first book in the La Petite Mort series. Quinn is living a very sheltered life. She is eighteen and is ginger senior year of school. Alexander is the owner of the tattoo shop in town. Quinn has been having strange dreams about Deimos the Greek God of terror and death. She swears she met him in real life on her 16th birthday. She has become obsessed with him. She is an artist in her own way. She had so many drawings of Deimos in her journal. One day after school Quinn’s best friend goes to get a tattoo. Quinn meets Alexander for the first time. Now she is having strong feelings for two men. Quinn starts having more frequent interactions with both Deimos and Alexander. The more time that goes on causing her to have mixed feelings towards both. An event happens that causes her to have a flashback and memories. This book is sexy, dark, and mysterious. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Lucy Rivers and Richard Sawyer did a fantastic job narrating in duet style narration.
