Callum Walker kills people for a living. Although he doesn't get a say in who his boss puts on his list, he likes to hunt people who hurt children in his spare time. Ryan might be just the man to help Cal get rid of his little ghost problem. The only problem is, these two are polar opposites, and Ryan can't seem to get over the small issue of home invasion and attempted homicide.

Will Cal win over the stubborn and neurotic mortician? Or will Ryan refuse to be swayed by the impulsive yet charming mercenary?

Alexander and Zachary did a great job bringing this story to life. The story itself is written very well and I am glad that I was able to listen to it. It is an odd but rewarding relationship between the main characters but I could feel the love between them. I’m glad that they put an end to the Evil. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves mm murder mystery ish stories.

The absolute rollercoaster that this book took me on, I could not stop listening!! The performance was superb, I will definitely be adding this to my re-listen list.

Everything about this book was incredible from start to finish. The duet narration was AMAZING and I really hope more authors will start using epic voice actors like Alexander & Zachary in this way, as it really keeps you in the story.
It’s rare that I love every single character in a book, and that each character is so fully developed that I can truly immerse myself in their world, but it was definitely achieved in this story.

At first I didn't like Cal's narration, but it completely grew on me! I fell in love with these two all over again and I'm not mad at it. Definitely on my re-listen list, a little immersion will do!
I can't wait to hear the next book!

This will forever be my favorite MM romance and one of my all time favorite books. Cal is the dearest MMC to my cold black heart, and his love story with his Ginger Snap is so special- it is the perfect blend of tragedy, humor, found family, healing, and alllll the warm fuzzies.

Ryan’s narrator was absolutely perfect for his character, and his performance was the perfect amount of neurotic and loving. I was unsure about Cal’s narrator at first, just because Cal is my all time fave and it’s not how I imagined his voice sounding, but Alexander really did a great job with the range of emotions Cal goes through and his energy ended up totally meeting Cal’s psycho golden retriever personality perfectly.

46 billion stars, every star in the universe. This audio did not disappoint, and made me love the book even more if possible.

This story is perfection and so is the audio! Alexander is one of my favorite narrators and hearing him as Callum was perfect! I was surprised to find this was duet style too! I can't wait for book 2!

Such an original concept! I've never read anything like The Mercenary & The Mortician. I read the book but knew the audio would amazing once I saw who the narrators were. Story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶 🥵 Can't wait to listen to book 2

My new spooky Roman Empire. The voice actors were amazing and truly captured the dark romance between Cal & Ry! Couldn't read this fast enough. Everyone who produced this book and narrated it was freaking perfect!
