I felt like this was a really unique storyline, but at the same time, I continually knew what was going to happen. I'm not sure how that happened, but I ended up liking the story. It had atypical characters, who did atypical things, and it really held my interest. The audiobook was well done, and added to the experience.

Grate story a little on the tame side but a grate story and some turns I had no idea was coming i hope there is another one cuz there are so many diff possibilities this story could go from here and love the characters and the way they was built

Love love love this book!! It was a slow burn with some crazy plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole
time. I had to pace myself otherwise I would’ve listened to this in one sitting and gotten nothing else done 😂 I have read other Candice Wright books but this is my new favorite 🤩 phenomal FMC and loved her men !

Oof, that was awful on all counts, If it weren’t for all the predatory sex scenes, the wannabe gangster plot might have fallen into “so bad it’s good” territory. The caricature unhinged boss. The fearless girl who takes on everyone up the food chain until she comes out on top. The teenage luv and laughably bad dirty talk.

The narrator was fine for Cherry, but the voicing for Megan was hard to distinguish from Cherry, and worse, all the tough guy characters desperately needed duet narration with a male narrator.

I was hoping for Zoe Saldana in Colombiana style grit, combined with the slick pin-up style noir promised in the cover art. Sadly, this booked peaked with the cover art and summary. I will say, however, that I enjoyed the author’s Death in Bloom dark romance series.
