This was short, dark, creepy, and spicy!!!

This audiobook was amazing. JF Harding did a fantastic job voicing Jasper and Adrian. I loved listening. He gave both MCs a unique voice, and was terrific with the emotions.

The story was crazy good, and the narration is even better!!

This book is a short erotic, horror and is perfect for spooky season. Jasper is bored at the club he frequents. He runs into Adrian. Jasper always had to have control, but with Adrian it's different. There is a draw and Jasper wants to be a good boy and find out. Jasper and Adrian chemistry is delectable. JF Harding did an excellent job playing both parts. His voice for Adrian is commanding while Jasper's sounded like a desperate plea! This is such a good audio. I highly recommend it!

A fast paced, spicy story that does not provide an HEA and isn’t considered romance. This is an MM that follows the MMC from the busy sitting to being intrigued and following a mysterious handsome masked man to his private residence, where the story really starts to fuel up. JF Harding did an absolutely amazing job performing these characters. If you need a nice creepy read for the spooky season this one is a quickie with straight spice!!

This is definitely one of the darker audios I have listened to. You know those images showing people blinking their eyes rapidly...yeah that was me all while listening to this. It was very, very interesting to say the least. The entire time I was getting vibes from a particular horror film from the 80's and by the end of the book I was correct in those vibes with how this ended.

This is not an HEA and it will leave your jaw on the floor. In full disclosure...I totally bought this audio solely because of J.F. Harding and his narrating skills. I ended up enjoying the story, as twisted as it was...lol!

i went into this book blind and lemme tell ya, it did not disappoint. WHEW- an erotic horror, MM, spooky & spicy short novella that i absolutely devoured. JF harding was an AMAZING narrator- he executed each character phenomenally, i forgot there was only one narrator.
Jasper is used to being in control in his life and meets a masked man named Adrian who takes the control from Jasper. now, this was not a romance, but the smut in this?? i was sweating and may have rewinded the audiobook a handful of times…
if you want a short, spooky, non HEA with twists that will leave your jaw hanging open and wanting more- you should definitely listen to the audiobook because it was so so good. 4.5 stars and i will listen again for halloween 🙂‍↕️

Masked Marionette by EV Olson is sinfully hot, dark, and utterly addictive. Every mask hides a secret and some secrets are meant to devour. Jasper is used to being in control, commanding attention both onstage and behind closed doors. But when Adrian enters the picture, that control slips in the most intoxicating way. The power dynamics, the domination, and the way Jasper finally surrenders is absolutely mesmerizing. 🔥

This novella blends erotic intensity with a creeping, unsettling horror that lingers between the steamy scenes. The house, the mirrors, the tension, it is the kind of eeriness that stays with you long after the last chapter.

J.F. Harding’s narration is phenomenal. He gives Jasper and Adrian distinct, fully realized voices, bringing every whispered command, every heated interaction, and every moment of vulnerability to life. His performance elevated the story and made the audiobook experience fully immersive.

While this novella is short and leaves some mysteries unanswered, the intensity, eroticism, and psychological tension more than make up for it. This is not a romance. It is erotic horror at its most twisted and addictive. Definitely check the trigger warnings as it is not for the faint of heart.

For listeners who enjoy dark, erotic, and psychologically charged stories with top-tier narration, Masked Marionette is worth diving into.

Great way to start off the “spooky” season. This was a great psychological thriller but nothing overly scary. I found it to be a very interesting dive into greedy pleasures and the entity that we can compartmentalize it as. Some become consumed with the greed while others can maintain a “safe” distance. Very well done and a fun way to start off October. JF Harding is of course brilliant as he always is when he narrates and the whisper he does as entity was quite chilling.

Ok so, if you know me I’m everything HEA, still, I decided to give this book a try because I’ve LOVED everything EV Olsen. And let me tell ya, I. WAS. NOT. READY. FOR. THIS!!! (In a very good way)

This dark, psychological horror/erotic novella is fast paced and to the point; where we see Adrian and Jasper enter this “relationship” that centers in exploring and stretching limits until they break…among other things…

I was so pleasantly surprised of all the twists and turns this story took in the 2 something hours of audio, and JF Harding and his hauntingly handsome voice elevating things to the next level, I didn’t even care this was not a HEA. It left me desiring more and I can’t wait and see if EV would ever approach this type of genre again cause damn, I want more!!!

Full of spice, letting go of your hold on dominance, exploring new things ... until said things swallows you up (literally)

Masked Marionette by E.V. Olsen is a dark erotic thriller MM novella. Please check your trigger warnings and be VERY AWARE there is no HEA. If you made it past the warnings then buckle up because this story will take you on a crazy, erotic, and spooky ride. This book/audio had me gasping in shock and left speechless! Jasper, our MMC, goes from being confident and in control to being stripped completely bare and loses all control. This poor man literally gets every ounce of desire ripped from him and is consumed in entirely by Lucifer himself! Then there’s Adrian who’s always in control, smooth talking, and sly like a fox. This man has advanced degrees in seduction and will have your mind changed in less than 60 seconds! The spice between these two was steamy and mind blowing. The audiobook narration by J.F. Harding was hands down my favorite one man show! J.F. really knows how to grab your attention and keep you enthralled the entire time and then leave you in a daze! This man is talented and changed voices so well to fit each character perfectly! Thank you Blue Nose Audio for this ALC opportunity!
