This book picks up with the events that happen right at the end of Book 2 in The Unforgettable Series, and we meet the wonderfully strong heroine that will steal our charming Jaime’s heart. While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I strongly recommend reading Books 1 and 2 because they’re great and where we first meet Jaime. It will also help you understand some references made to events in those books. As for Jaime and Shannon’s story, I love when the MMC goes from playboy to devoted one-woman man willing to avenge his woman. Shannon knocks Jaime on his cute Irish rear from the moment they meet and he never quite recovers, nor does he want to! The story has elements of BDSM but at its core it’s about trust and family and a wonderful addition to the series. I enjoyed the audio production of this book done in duet style by Gary Furlong, Betty Black, Joe Arden and featuring K.C. Sheridan. This is my second Betty Black performance and the more I hear her lyrical Irish tones the more I really enjoy her performances. She beautifully portrays Shannon’s strength and emotions during very intense scenes. Gary Furlong bounces between Irish and American accents with amazing ease and his intensity in the emotional scenes with Shannon both as Jaime and the bad guy was top notch. Joe Arden and K.C. Sheridan reprise their roles as Marcus and Lana from the earlier books, as well as playing the other male and female side characters. All of these stellar performances make for a great audio experience of a rich, multi-layered story with a wonderful HEA. Overall, a 5-star read with fantastic performances and 4 spicy peppers. Shannon and Jamie's story will keep you on the edge of your seat. Jamie is a playboy and Shannon is trying to make ends meet. But once they come together it's fire. Betty Black (Shannon), Joe Arden (Marcus), Gary Furlong (Jamie), and K.C. Sheridan (Lana) all came together and did a wonderful job of bringing the characters and story to life.

Oh those McGrath brothers! This book focuses on Jaime a playboy billionaire who plays with women like toys. In comes Shannon a hardworking, stubborn woman with a smart mouth and Jaime is enamored. I loved hearing this story with duet narration by Betty Black, Gary Furlong, Joe Arden and KC Sheridan. The narration really elevated this story and the accents were absolutely fantastic. It was fun getting to hear about Marcus and Lana as well.

I liked the first two books in this series but this one kind of missed the mark for me. Yes it was spicy but it was missing a lot of the character building. The first two books we got a look into the Marcus's past and got a lot of detail about why he was the way he was, but we really didn't get that for Jamie. It just seemed really rushed to me and i think that some more time could have been spent on maybe including their father. Or maybe adding some more of the villain in the story. I did get the opportunity to listen to the audiobook for this one and it was fantastic. The narrators were very well picked.

Overall Jamie and Shannon’s love story was okay but the first two books were better. Narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life. The story was evenly paced, push and pull, some drama, and abuse by her ex.
Jamie’s character was egotistical, over confident, a man whore, arrogant, wealthy, obnoxious, had sexual proclivities, and into BDSM. Jamie also wanted Shannon to watch him have sex with two females so she could see how he performs and even though their not in a relationship just a courtship he doesn’t think twice to have ongoing sexual activities with other females and has the nerve to say “It’s sex nothing more, I’m trying not to think about you.”
But all in all the HEA was beautifully written.
