OMG if you love a pitch black romance, then Colton by Linzvonc is exactly what you need! I highly suggest you check those trigger warnings before you start this one because this is pitch black. No one does unhinged MMC quite like Joe Arden, and he is deliciously crazed and obsessed as Colton. And Lucy Rivers gives us a such a strong FMC (Mary/Luella) who is dead set on revenge and will withstand anything to get it. Luella’s and Colton’s relationship was extremely messed up and I loved it. Sometimes you crave the darkness….. just like Luella and I do.

Luella is one tough FMC. While she was walking right into the lion's den and lots to fear, she showed that she would not back down. Do we "hate" Colton, the answer is no. We wanted to not like him because of his horrible father but once the truth was revealed about Colton, I actually liked him.

This is a dark story that is filled with emotional trauma. Luella and Colton share their trauma with spicy chemistry.

Grab the audiobook, you won't regret it. It is duet narrated by Lucy Rivers and Joe Arden. I got lost in the voices of Lucy and Joe. Joe is a top star. Lucy and Joe elevated the story with their voices.

Colton by Linzvonc is done in duet narration as a Blue Nose production, narrated by Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers. This is easily the darkest book in the series and serves as the fourth and final installment. It can be listened to as a standalone.

Joe Arden should honestly be banned from voicing unhinged characters because the way he delivers them is illegal. His performance was phenomenal. Completely unhinged, emotional, and impossible to look away from. Lucy Rivers was just as strong. She nailed the emotional pull of being on a revenge mission while also being deeply conflicted about her feelings for Colton, which, honestly, is completely understandable.

And yes, I love Colton. He did some seriously messed-up things, and I’m not excusing them, especially that one thing. But still. I wanted more. I need more. Their story does not feel finished, and I would absolutely devour anything else set in this world.

This book was incredible. I was hooked from the start. A strong FMC on a quest for revenge and a really good plan. Enter, Colton. He bulldozed that plan entirely. I was so intrigued by him. His darkness was abundant, but there was a softness to him that shone through a bit. It wasn’t soft in the direct meaning of the word, but his version of soft. Protective at all costs. But then he hurt her. And it was pure darkness. No reason other than he wanted to. I did not know what to expect after that. The disgust and hatred she had for him kept me on my seat as to how it would all play out. Then she went through absolute hell. Pains and defeat overtook her and there he was. There to help her. But what I loved was that he allowed her to take the lead. He was there to assist. Man that guy is so fine. He could fold me like a lawn chair! I fell absolutely in love with him. I did the audiobook and the performance by Lucy Rivers was so haunting and perfect. I could feel her pain but could also feel her power and strength. Her determination and perseverance through it all was incredible. As for Mr Joe Arden. The way this man can bring crazy is wild. It overtook him in the performance and you could sense every moment that he cracked and it truly felt like you were in the mind of Colton. Such an incredible book and audio, I highly recommend.

Nothing like anything I have ever experienced before. When Colton and his conscience have conversations it freaks me out a little. It’s so unhinged. Lucy was the perfect female to play Luella. Great listen
