Publisher's summary

Celina: When Celina Connelly meets Jamie McCullough, she knows right away that he's a great guy. He's handsome, intelligent, thoughtful, and treats her well...but it's not enough. Celina is saving herself for the all-inclusive, heart-pounding, breath-stealing kind of magic that comes with finding the right one - the kind she feels when she meets Jamie's brother, Kyle.

Jamie: Betrayed doesn't begin to describe what Jamie McCullough feels when he discovers the woman who declined his marriage proposal has accepted another's - his own brother's! Hurt and angry, Jamie finds himself in the warm and welcoming cafe of Amy's Book Shoppe.

Amy's been attracted to Jamie's All-American good looks and gentlemanly demeanor since the first time she laid eyes on him. She's all for lending a sympathetic ear from the friend zone, but Amy refuses to be a rebound. She admits she wants more-when and if he's ready. After a bit of soul-searching (and some hilarious advice from a trio of middle-aged romance authors), Jamie finally realizes that sometimes, those lemons life gives you can make some pretty sweet lemonade.

Contains mature themes.

Misleading synopsis

This is two books. The long main story is about Kyle and Celina which I could have cared less about them. Typical story line and honestly they were dishonest jerks. Kyle the bad boy who rides a motorcycle and Lina the tiny petite angelic good girl. Yawn!!!! Pahhhhlease!! He was an ass and she was a selfish B!!! Didn’t even care to listen to that story. Fast forwarded to Jamie and Amy’s story which was only the last hour maybe and I loved them!! Their story was worth the listen but fell short with very little detail. They deserved so much more of the story than the first cliche got couple, Kyle and Lina. Really kinda ticked!! Wanted to know so much more about Jamie and Amy and was left very disappointed. I will be returning this for my credit back hopefully.

Story was ok

Tor Thom ‘a style of narration made corny lines cheesy and cringe worthy. Loved CJ Bloom. Her male voices were more masculine than Tor Thom’s! Will most likely buy the Kindle version of the other two books in the series since Mr Thom is narrating the next two.

Pretty good beginning for the Connelly's.

This is the only girl cousin for those fabulous Callaghan Brothers from Pine Ridge. She falls for the one guy no one thinks she should be with, but he's also the one guy who sees the real woman inside. It's the bad boy falling for the good girl scenario and it works very well. CJ Bloom does a good job but I would have preferred a better copartner for the narration, but he gets the job done.
