Heather Pierce is done being a wallflower, both personally and professionally. Desperate to live a different life for one night, she attends a speed-dating event. Maybe here, anonymous unless she chooses otherwise, she can become someone new. When a man way out of her league sits across from her, Heather gathers her courage and takes charge of what she wants, secretly fearing he won't desire the real person she's desperate to hide.
Top acquisitions officer and international playboy Tony Carmine is about to close the biggest deal of his career. But then he meets Heather at a speed-dating event...and discovers losing control may be exactly what he needs. This is a light, sexy listen. It's perfect for killing a few hours listening to a love story with some kinky thrown in. I didn't mind using my credit on it. I would recommend it for a fun listen.

Got to watch out for the quiet wallflowers a - once lit they can go Bang. I enjoyed this hot sexy story. Heather took charge. Nice to have the female dominating for a change in a story. Loved the double narration by Sean Crisden and Lucy Malone. Really suited this book and they sounded great. I will be grabbing the second book in this series once released.Got to watch out for the quiet wallflowers

Queue in the H who's not only a playboy but s little alpha as well. When she took charge, it was the first time someone has told him to do things that was only meant for her. AND HE LOVED IT!
It's probably worth stating that this is about vanilla people who learn They like role-playing but I'm sure if They knew more They totally be a D/s dynamic I've grown to enjoy with male subs, female Dommes.
Anyway, back to the review. They run into each other by chance and Heather pretends to be this dominant woman he was so attracted to. I'm not convinced this wasn't her true nature as she did it so naturally. There's no way this wasn't lying dormant in her as she took it upon herself to research things to do. Maybe it's not a traditional link book but that's what made it so fun.
The only thing I hated about it was, nearly every chapter made me have to read the next chapter. I was planning a productive day that was ruined by this page turner. If I could give it gen stars I would. Sleeper hit for me.
A ride...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes - it was an enjoyable story and the chemistry between the two characters was super hot.How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It was a little quick...might have developed the characters and the relationship a little more. What aspect of Sean Crisden and Lucy Malone ’s performance would you have changed?
They felt a little robotic at times...a little stiff, hard to get into the flow of what they were reading about.Do you think Vanilla on Top needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
It would be nice - in fact...it is the start to two different series - Heather and Tony's next book is called Vanilla Twist and Avoiding Mr. Right is the second book in the Walk on the Wild Side series.Any additional comments?
It's a great erotica, with minimal angst - a light-n-steamy read if you will.Well written, sexy and quick!

I didn't dislike anything. I couldn't stop listening until it was finished in a little over a day. These two are easily a pair of my favorite couples. I can't wait to continue their story! Excited to see where Ellison takes them!
I think I love tony too!

Is there anything you would change about this book?
The story was very VERY VANILLA. It was cute and quirky love story. The narrators got me through this story.. They are very talented and made it work, even though the story line really was weak. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
There were two, first that Heather decider to do something a bit different to make herself more attractive to men......and so it worked. ( but she worried about it) second that Tony really cared for Heather, SPOILER.....even giving up his job to give her a chance to improve her job.Could you see Vanilla on Top being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
NoAny additional comments?
Not really, I don't understand all the great reviews this got, maybe because of the narrators. But if I had read the book and not listened I never would have finished the story. The narrators made the story work

Not write it at allHow did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrators were the WORST part! This book may have actually been a good book but the narrators made me want to slit my own wrists! You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Nope....(Popping the p)Any additional comments?
I couldnt even finish the story, I tried, I really really tried but decided I would rather chew glass...Like listening to my old nerdy parents flirt....
