I loved it

The story isn’t complex, the love is cute and fun and there’s kind of a wholesomeness to the story. I would have preferred duet narration but the male narrator did a decent job with the female voices. I actually preferred his narration parts.

🌿This is a very cute story. I pride myself on leaving five star reviews. However, this book does start off interesting. It doesn't really go anywhere. I wish there'd be a bit more thrilling moments or something to pick up the vibe, but it was pretty sedentary.

Both of our lead characters were likable. CC is a standup woman with her own job and her own money and I really liked her character. Liam Is a likable gentleman with a softer side (not too alpha). LOL..he's sweet and romantic.

The thing I liked about the book is they get to the point quite quickly and don't have a lot of angst mixed in. Thank you, Daphne Elliot! I'd like to give a shout out to Troy and Leanne for their spectacular narration as usual! Wow, you brought the life!

Turn for the worst....Toward the end of the book, they allowed Liam's child Paisley, nine years old to basically run the show ...which I did not agree with for obvious reasons! Very unattractive in real life and in books when parents permit their kids take over... no rules and no accountability. The parents think it's cute, but they're not doing their job. They are not parenting! This is one of the reasons I usually shy away from books, especially romantic books that inject children into them. I don't see there's a place for this. Kids usually detract from the story, especially if you're going in the direction of romance, just sayin!

Spoiler ALERT ~ When Paisley ran away from school in search of a taco truck (and beaue she wa having a bad say at 9 years of age - LMAO!) , she should have received Swift spanking and been grounded... AND ESPECIALLY had her birthday party canceled ....STAT! The parents rewarded her and swept it under the rug...saying it's OK ...don't do it again, blah blah blah, and reward her with a ridiculous over the top party! Ludacris! At this point it went downhill for me folks. I found this portion of the book cringeworthy! Again...Who's in charge? ...a 9 yr old kid??? Especially after the big speech Liam gave in the beginning of the book... He went on to say how he was raised by his grandma in a strict environment. Obviously, he did not follow through with any great values with his daughter (since she as a spoiled rotten brat!!). It was difficult to stick with the original story of the two of them getting together, and having a romance when the kid kept getting in the way...again just sayin!

Cute story overall - perhaps you will love it! Namaste Romance lovers! On to the next book!

This is seriously a great small town romance. I have been reading way too many dark books, which I love, but I really needed a lighter read & this was the perfect book for me. I love beer, there are a ton of micros around us and the hubby and I love good beer. This book had beer in it!!! The combination of romance and a brewer was exactly what I needed.

Cece and Liam have some great chemistry together and I love seeing the growth they both go through in this book. They are absolutely perfect for each other & I loved every minute of their journey.

This audiobook is so good, the narrators did such an amazing job bringing this book to life. Seriously! I absolutely loved it.

Oh Gosh! This is my second time reading this book and I still Love Liam and Cece. This book is the perfect introduction for all Havenport has for us.

Liam is grumpy, thinks can do everything and handle everything himself and Cece came like a hurricane to help him, and when he isn’t grumpy he’s swoon-worthy. Cece is an amazing woman with so much to share. I love the tension and all the romance that emanates from them. I’m definitely in love with Cece and Liam love story. Amazing book 1. Congratulations Daphne.

The audiobook quality is amazing, listening this book was everything I wanted and more, can’t wait for the whole serie to be available. Excellent performance from Leanne and Troy 💕

Love a small town romance!

Cece is back in her small New England hometown to recover after being laid off from her high power NY job…and the implosion of her longtime relationship. Her mother hooks her up with a temporary gig…Liam owned his brewer 4 yrs ago and has been working hard ever since but still can’t keep his head above water. When he’s practically forced into hiring Cece as a marketing consultant and ‘girl Friday’, he doesn’t anticipate his business taking off! Or falling for her. Except that’s what happens! Perfect choice of narrators to bring the story to life. Troy Duran’s deep voice is the perfect pairing for the gruff, burly Liam! Leanne Woodward is exactly how I expect a ‘proper’ NY marketing executive to sound. Great story and so looking forward to Declan’s story next.

Small Town Romance

This book brought the romance and the angst. Cecelia, aka Cece, works at a brewery after returning to her small town. She meets Liam, who is her broody boss. There is drama and miscommunication, but a HEA. The inner monologues kind of dragged, but both narrators were fantastic!
