Slightly Above Average

The writing was easy to follow, nicely detailed, and the characters were well-described. The storyline was cute, but predictable and slow moving. It had a hint of spice, but could easily have had more with these two characters. I will say there was a lot of repetitive, inner dialogue…but the book did have a twist, which was nice. Not sure I’m interested in the next book.

Very satisfying and heartwarming! Strong male lead, no cheating, likeable heroine, and a dog! Yay!

protector potential falls short

great prologue and satisfying beginning. nice character development. unfortunately works too hard to convince with words and internal dialogues rather than allowing the story to convince with action, this making the story too prefictable. the beautiful setting and characters still.make the protector a good 'read'.
