Highlights from this week’s global press coverage of Audible.

Audible and Broadway Video Announce Star-studded Slate of Original Audio Comedy Projects

Audible announced a production deal with Broadway Video to produce multiple audio-only comedy originals specifically created for Audible listeners. The multi-tiered collaboration kicks off with Heads Will Roll, created by Saturday Night Live breakout Kate McKinnon (The Spy Who Dumped Me, Ghostbusters, Rough Night) and her creative partner and sister, Emily Lynne (Our Cartoon President), and featuring Meryl Streep, Tim Gunn, Peter Dinklage, Andrea Martin, Carol Kane, Audra McDonald, Aidy Bryant, Alex Moffat, Heidi Gardner, Chris Redd, Steve Higgins, Bob the Drag Queen, Esther Perel and Queer Eye’s Fab Five.

The next release from the Audible-Broadway Video collaboration will be 63rd Man, an original comedy from Bryan Tucker, Senior Writer of Saturday Night Live and Zack Phillips (Above Average, The Kicker) and will star WWE Superstar John Cena (Trainwreck, Sisters, Blockers, Bumblebee).

Audible Latino Launch Makes Headlines

Audible Latino – the largest collection of Spanish audiobooks available in the United States – launched with the much anticipated audio premiere of Harry Potter y la Piedra Filosofal by J. K. Rowling, produced by Audible and Pottermore Publishing, and performed by internationally acclaimed Puerto Rican actor Carlos Ponce. We also announced the upcoming Audible Original From Negative to Positive, written and performed by Grammy-winning artist Pitbull, as part of the launch.

English- and Spanish-language outlets around the US, including The Hollywood Reporter, The Washington Post, People En Español, Engadget, Bustle, Billboard, NBC News, Paste Magazine, La Opinión, and La Raza, featured the launch.

Talk Show MDR Um 4 Features Audible Original Die Juten Sitten

German actress Jeanette Hain appeared on talk show MDR um 4 to talk about her performance in the new Audible Original audio drama Die Juten Sitten, a novel set in 1920s Berlin. MDR um 4 played an audio clip of the Audible Original on air.
