Publisher's summary

A woman is missing. The clock is ticking. There's no time to lose when a life hangs in the balance.

Miguel:

They found our missing woman’s car.

In the army, I found hidden bombs before they could, well, you know.

I’m good at finding what I look for.

After I got out, I traded my green uniform for a blue one.

Now, I mostly find clues and people.

I’m not used to finding things when I don’t look for them.

Then, I met Sam.

What was I looking for again?

Sam:

I grew up on a ranch. It was easy to win over furry friends as long as I had food in my hand.

When I moved to Nashville, I learned that men are a totally different animal.

I’ve only just started wanting more than an endless stream of one-nighters, but the time I put myself out there, I ended up in the friend zone.

I’m good in the sack, up against a wall, or on the kitchen table,

But dating is exhausting.

When a cop in a tight blue uniform drove onto my lot, everything changed.

Wrenched is a classic MM Romance wrapped in a whodunit thriller, a tale of self-discovery, overcoming the past, and two men learning what—and who—they truly want.

This story includes scenes where one character grapples with PTSD, while another discovers how best to support him.

Amazing characters and story

Wrenched is the second book in the Nashville Spicy series but can be read or listened to as a standalone. Casey Morales has done an amazing job with this story. This is a romance in the middle of a murder mystery. Miguel is a police officer working on a murder case when he meets Sam a mechanic who owns the shop where the victims car is taken for the CSI's to look at. I loved the story between these two people who both are flawed. I love the narrator Dan Levy. His voice is easy to listen to and the switch between characters is well done. I would definitely recommend this book.

Sam and Miguel

Dan Levy does a great job brings Sam and Miguel to life. His voice is easy to listen to and he switches between characters smoothly.

Sam and Miguel have amazing chemistry. I love that their story unfolds as Miguel works a missing person case that turns out to be a murder. You get to see both men at very vulnerable times during their getting to know each other stage. Sam sees that Miguel is having a hard time and decides that he can't walk away. He will be with him throughout the hard times and do anything to help. They meet when Miguel and his partner Donna bring a car to Sam's shop. I also love the work relationship between Sam and Tyler at the shop. But you also get Donna and Miguel on the job while working to solve the case. Their story is full of emotion, some amazing chemistry, and a great cast of friends.

Murder, Mechanic and Love

Miguel is a Nashville police officer investigating a missing person with his partner. The victims car is found but the police garage is full, and the car is temporarily stored in Sam’s garage. This begins the mystery of the victim and the relationship between Miguel and Sam. This is a great audiobook with so many characters that make you laugh even though the subject is serious.

Sam gets his happily ever after

This story was excellent - I loved hearing Sam's happily ever after. The mystery component just added to this compelling romance. I enjoyed the side characters almost as much as the leading men.

Sam & Miguel

I love that Sam got his own story. It was great that it was with a sexy cop, an intriguing mystery and a good HEA. This story was good when I read it but it was even better with audiobook. I really enjoyed it.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

Loved the dynamic!!

This was the first audio done by Dan Levy, and I was genuinely impressed with the smooth tone of his voice, and his switch to the gruffness of Sam’s voice had me swooning for his time to talk. Even with the multiple characters, Levy never faulted his performance.

I loved the mystery and suspense of this story! The dynamic between Miguel and his partner, Donna, was enjoyable, with their playful banter as if they were siblings rather than partners. But, Miguel and Sam stole the entire show with their slow-paced, building of a genuine relationship.

Fun listen

This was a fun listen. I was sad for Sam in the first so I was glad he got his own story. This does deal with some heavy topics but in a light but good way. I really enjoyed the build up of the relationship and the side characters. Narration was done very well and made it an entertaining listen.
