Publisher's summary

Bad at making decisions or bad at love? Either way, Kendall Blakemore doesn't trust his judgment. He falls too hard, too fast, and always for the wrong guy. Needing a major shakeup, Kendall moves into his own place for the first time and seizes a new career opportunity. But everything he thought he wanted turns out to be the last thing he needs. When loneliness threatens to derail Kendall's good behavior, he decides to rent out his spare bedroom. What could go wrong? Try a tenant who's temptation incarnate.

Bad at commitment or born to roam? Either way, US Deputy Marshal Kurt Dandridge feels trapped. Maybe staying in one place for too long is the source of his unhappiness, or maybe it's because he's engaged to the wrong person. Finding his fiance in bed with another man takes care of one problem but creates another. Ridge needs a place to live. He'd leave Savannah altogether if not for his vow to apprehend an elusive fugitive. Renting a room from Kendall Blakemore seems like the perfect solution until Ridge finds himself falling for the alluring man. Would one kiss derail his course? And could he stop at just one?

Contains mature themes.

Love Ridge and Kendall

I love this story. I loved Kendall in the Zero Hour series and was really excited when he got his own book. Tristan’s performance was great.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED

I was hesitant to purchase this book because to be honest I didn't care for the cover. but I was looking for something that Tristan James narrated and when I realized it was in the Sinister in Savannah world I didn't hesitate any longer. the dialogue in the beginning of the book and the bar scene where the two MCs meet one another is some of the best I've heard in a while. Kudos to Ms. Walker. Now on to Tristan, I've purchased many books that Mr James narrates because when he narrates he's got a wonderful voice and to be honest is like an aphrodisiac but... and it's a big one he can sometimes annihilate a character's voice to almost cartoonish levels. To date, the best narration that I've ever heard from Tristan is the Marshall series by Mary Calmes. In regard to M/M romance only few have come close to his excellent narration, and to Ms. Calmes writing. Tristan, it's my belief that you need to listen to your work back then and find that passion again.

These two deserved their story. I have enjoyed this series a lot. Can’t wait for the next one.

enjoyed it - solid 4 stars

📖 Story comment: Good pace, engaging characters, entertaining story.
I knew nothing more going into this one than it was by Aimee Nicole Walker and narrated by Tristan James. Happy to report, I was delightfully surprised.
It never occurred to me we met Kendall Blakemore in the Sinister in Savannah series and his story is part of the Savannah universe, I always enjoy cameo appearances from familiar characters. This is a stand-alone. It isn't necessary to be familiar with the other "Savannah universe" books to enjoy Bad at Love.

I found this story to be smart, sassy and entertaining, there are so many more sides to Kendall than I would have ever thought possible and I really enjoyed Ridge's protectiveness. Both these characters are well written and easily carry the story, so I was completely invested in their outcome.

🎧 Narrator comment: Personally I love Tristan James as a narrator, I go through phases where he's just what I need to soothe the jagged edges of my psyche. I find his tones soothing, he has good timing and inflections and he brings these characters to life. I enjoyed his performance of Bad to Love and will happily listen to it again.
