Publisher's summary

An O’Hurley novel from “America’s favorite writer” (The New Yorker), #1 bestselling phenomenon Nora Roberts, Without a Trace tells the story of the sibling who abandoned his familial responsibilities for a carefree life only to discover something truly worth living for—and someone worth risking his heart to love.

Trace O’Hurley traveled the world on a series of dangerous adventures where he witnessed humanity’s darkest impulses erupt time and again—and engaged in actions that no amount of alcohol can ever make him forget. Then Dr. Gillian Fitzpatrick intrudes upon his self-pitying solitude, desperate for his help in rescuing her family from terrorists. Her plea has given Trace an opportunity to use his skills for the right reasons, hope that he is worthy of redemption, and love that he never believed he deserved.

Good finale to O’Hurleys

As I mentioned in my review of book one in the O’Hurleys series, “The Last Honest Woman”, which I enjoyed, when I finished that one, I assessed the next two and decided to skip those and only buy number four, “Without a Trace”. That worked out just fine as it is an interesting and fairly unusual storyline & does as I’d hoped: gives a satisfying enough summation to the other siblings that make up the O’Hurleys, without wading through the overbearing bombast of Francis O’Hurley, the tedious father.
Perhaps books two and three of this short series — each of the four give only about 7 hours listening time— are worthwhile, but I object to the greedy pricing of such short offerings, so I can live without the other two quite nicely.

Classic Nora Roberts

I much prefer a traditional Roberts read. Good story, lovable characters, happy ever after ending.

Another good one.

The 1st & 4th in this series are my favorite. The 4th is the only one with some guts. Not so predictable, but they are all light-easy read-just whips you a w a y……Pleasant & nice. Thanks you Ms Roberts!

The annoying girl Gillian

I liked the continuation of the triplets stories, but the Irish woman Trace gets involved with was so annoying that I skipped from chapter 15 to the last chapter. Most of the time I wanted to slap her silly.
