Publisher's summary

In the O’Hurley novel Skin Deep, #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts zooms in for a close up in this story of a movie star being stalked by a dangerous admirer and the man determined to protect her.

Beautiful and talented Chantel O’Hurley makes box office gold with every starring role. But fame and fortune come with a price: fans. While most of them are just average folks looking for an autograph or a photo op, there’s one fan who desires more and won’t take no for an answer. As his behavior becomes more threatening, Chantel reluctantly hires hardboiled P.I. Quinn Doran as a bodyguard. Initially unable to see past his client’s Hollywood glitz and glamor, Quinn realizes Chantel’s appearance is deceiving—and that there’s a tale of romantic suspense building between them.

the Irish family bond

sometimes a little slow but overall a good story. The books don't need to go in order or even read because each story is so unique to each character

The H is almost as bad as the villain

Not a fan of the H in this one. He’s very aggressive towards and obsessed with the h who he is supposed to be protecting. If she didn’t feel the same he would have basically been the stalker.

Sappy Story Not of High Caliber

if you don't mind a truly sugar coated predictable sappy love and lightly veiled mystery, this is right up your ally. Surely Robert's has a massive staff of writers churning out production for her brand. some are great, it's why I buy many of her titles. This was not great in any way. Very junior staff amateur in my observation. Boring 😴

Melodramatic & narration lacking

I love Nora Roberts books, but this did not seem to be written by her. It was Disappointing, one dimensional, and whoever the narrator was, it should’ve been someone else they were not engaging. Too bad.
