Hidden star
Although the story was decent, I should've paid attention to some of the more negative reviews that I read. I found myself annoyed at how ridiculous the conversations were between the lead guy and girl. No depth. The narrator, although decent with the man's voice, was not good narrating the girls part. I kept thinking about not listening to it til the end but I don't like to do that. At this point I'm not sure if I will continue to listen to the other two in the series. Nora Roberts writes great books, just not this one.

Interesting Mystery
The story line held my interest, even though I found it strange that the man had the love at first sight reaction without magic being involved. I'm looking forward to the next two books because it'll finish the story. The narrator was good, he only had one voice that grated on my nerves and that character wasn't in the story long.

Dated, pleasant
The book was published 20 years ago. Perhaps that explains what I would call shocking and sensitivity to the boundaries necessary for vulnerable woman. The private detective takes her home and woos her even though she has no memory of who she is and is emotionally fragile. Of course that part of the story turns out fine in the end. But in this day and age, it represents a gross misuse Power in a relationship and in real life would’ve been unimaginable.
That being said, this has the Roberts romance and sex. The story simple. I appreciate that she did not drag it out longer considering what needed to be said. On the other hand, I do enjoy longer more involved books. A pleasant diversion.
