Publisher's summary

From #1 New York Times bestselling phenomenon Nora Roberts, a tenacious journalist and a secretive author pen a new narrative between them when they discover their passion for one another is Second Nature

Legendary horror author Hunter Brown thrills fans with his tales of terror. But the master of macabre is also a marvel of mystery, maintaining a low—and reclusive—profile. It’s Celebrity magazine reporter Lee Radcliffe’s job to lift the veil on popular personalities and she’ll stop at nothing to secure an exclusive one-on-one with Hunter. Intrigued by her relentless drive, Hunter agrees to an interview—but only if Lee joins him on a camping trip.

Although out of her element in the wilderness, Lee is more than up to Hunter’s challenge. And together, they’ll discover that nature brings out their basic instincts and desires in unexpected ways.

Always enjoy Nora’s books

Good story. Reader just a bit too girly for overall narration but did fine. Probably ok for this character.

Love this story

This was a great story and it was well read by the performer. I think it was one of Nora’s older books but I had not read it.

Slow start but worth continuing

The beginning was a bit slow that other Nora Robert’s books but it was very much worth continuing.

Missing Drama and Suspence

I have been listening to this author for quite sometime and was expecting much more of a suspenseful story. This was a “fluff” book. I am sure every author needs a break sometimes and this was it.

Different from what I'm use to from Nora Roberts

But I still like it . A little short, but still keep me on my seat waiting to know what happens next. It was just in a different way and for a different reason. it is more of a romance.

Don't Bother

It said released in 2022. That's a lie. Several clues to it's being very old, like smoking in hotels and credit card imprints.
That being said, the story was not good. It was even too predictable for a Nora Roberts. I love a campy predictable Roberts. I use them as fun pallette cleansers between heavy books, when you need to digest them. This made me madder as I listened. Just don't.

So disappointing

I usually absolutely love Nora Roberts and use her as a palate cleanser between more suspenseful reads. Second Nature was such a bust for me. The narrator was bad, but not horrible enough for me to stop listening. The story, however, never got any better. I never felt wrapped up in the story. matter of fact, I usually update my husband on where I am in my books and he didn't even realize I had started another. when he asked me about it, I couldn't even tell him the plot, as it's so unmemorable. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.
