Because the two parts are not separated it is difficult to get the full benefit of the recording. The first part is for short rests and once it gets you to sleep, it will wake you up again. Difficult to find your way to the second, longer recording, which is suppose to keep you asleep for the entire night. Would have been much more helpful if each part had been a separate download.
I am more of a chronic night owl than an insomniac, and I've tried many, many types of solutions that might help me unwind, fall asleep and keep on a schedule. I must say, this audio is amazing! Nothing I've tried has ever worked so well. I've had it a few weeks and have yet to make it all the way through without falling asleep! Even if I awaken in the night it will put me back to sleep. The more I listen to it the better it seems to work as I can actually "see" the visualizations now. The two speakers accents don't bother me, I like them in fact.
I like both the meditation very much, especially the last one it really helps me to calm down and enjoy the peaceful scenery that's offered.
the sounds are all very life like and make you go to another world for a little while.
One technical issue that bugs me is that the two programs are not separately indexed / titled, so you can't easily choose to listen to just one.
Another bother: I'm a little picky, I know, but their accent and the way they pronounce "meditative" distracts me and makes it hard for me to relax.

"Brilliant on CD but not great on Audible"
Yes - It works.
None, I'm asleep within 5 minutes!
On CD this is brilliant and never fails to get adults and children to sleep. I decided to also get it on download for when I'm travelling but there are a couple of issues with the download version.On the Audible download the 2 tracks are together so to get to the "sleep" track you have to go through "rest". The bookmark facility on the Android app helps with this but it seems like a simple thing to have them as separate tracks and avoid the faffing about.
The second issue is right at the end after the "sleep" track, the music getting softer and quieter towards the end and you drift off to sleep, then the Audible man comes on with an abrupt load voice to declare "Audible hopes you've enjoyed this programme". Well, I did right up until you woke me to ask that...
I just hope that Audible either remove the end statement from such meditation downloads or, at the very least, have it re-recorded with a softer voice. Then I could give this the 5 stars it really deserves.
"An incredible journey every night"
I am not one of these people who turn to books etc to try to help me to sleep. The first one of these types of audio books that I tried was a waste of time - please don't tell me to go to sleep, I hate being told what to do.
This book is incredible - it does seem like a waste of money for me though as I have yet to hear beyond the first 10 minutes... I am always asleep well before then.. My daughter overheard the book and was talking about the woman who talks on it ... what woman? I asked.... what island? ... I had never heard a woman on there - I had to fast forward to see what she meant.
This audio track has taught me how to relax my body as well as my mind and I can be asleep within minutes of turning it on. I enjoy listening to Richard Latham and the background "music" is so effective.
A definite first class choice for me
"Good to get off to sleep"
This audio book contains two meditations, the first is about 20 mins and can be used at any point you want to simply relax fully, the second is 25 mins and is designed to get you off to sleep. I found both to be very useful.
The only trouble with it is that both meditations are in a single chapter and the first meditation wakes you up before the second then starts to get you off to sleep. So if you want to only sleep you have to scroll through to the start of the second mediation to begin.
For the last 18 months I have found it difficult to sleep, lots of chatter going on in my brain. I sleep naturally on my own at the beginning of the night then after say 3 hours I wake up and find it difficult to go back to sleep. found this meditation extremely useful. Both narrators voices are very soothing. It is my go to meditation if I want a nap or extra hours of sleep at night.
