Beautifully Written & Motivating

Adeeyo did a beautiful job not only sharing ways Black women can incorporate self care into their daily lives, but she did a great job diving deep into the NEED and importance of self care for black women. This is one I’ll definitely refer back to as needed.

Slight reminders here...

This book definitely helps kickstart my self improvement cycle. I was very aware and knowledgeable about the things that she mentions, but it was a great refresher. Think about it, there are 150 different things mentioned, We aren't always able to implement those 150 things in our lives, even though they are all doable, sometimes we forget how important one things is over another. Or maybe it wasn't a priority during that cycle of self improvement. I recommend this book and will listen to it again.

Good wisdom!

Good wisdom on the importance of prioritizing oneself. Content covered the many facets of being a Black woman and offered tips for healing, rest, and recovery.
Some improvement needed in the reading of the book with things like "our mind" instead of "our minds". It happened often, and I expected better from a professional performance.

Great book for mental health

This book was easy to digest and easy to follow. I would play a little each day mindfully. The narration was nice and well performed. I will try a lot of these self care activities and I have shared this with anyone that would listen.
