Excellent Book

Even if you don't like fantasy you may like this. Sounds more like a screen play than a book. Seems to have been written with the idea for a movie and a video game in the back of .the authors head. That said it held my intrest and was a good ride. I don't write reviews or recommend books but I feel compelled to recomend this series.

Loved it very much. This book was another different take on magic. Exciting book to read.

Audible Noob

I've always had trouble listening to other people read, so I didn't think I'd get much use out of this trial, but I'm busy all the time and I miss my books. I started with a couple of books I own from series I enjoy, including this one. It was a little difficult at first getting used to a narrator, but that quickly turned around. Each character voice was recognizable, making it easier as I adjusted to "see" the story I remembered reading. His emphasis and inflection were great. I already loved the book, so that comes highly recommended in any form, but if you're on the fence, go ahead and purchase this audio version.

Very entertaining

I have listen to this book many times and I still don't get tired of it. The plot line, the characters, the reader, makes this book a perfect trifecta of a good read

Pulp Magic

Awesome beginning to a fantastic storyline. While she is just introduced here, you will come to love Faye. Narrator is terrific and does a great job maintaining accents and personalities throughout the series. 10/10 on all accounts.

fun book

This is a fun book. It takes a pretty common genre and mixes it up enough to make it feel original. It's basically a super hero book, but replace power with magic. The twist of adding the 1930s theme works pretty well too

Fae and Sullivan are magnificent

Matt was a excellent bad guy. Too bad he wanted to kill his brother. Fae power was astounding.

The Best.

Larry Correia and Bronson Pinchot are my favorite duo. I love everything Larry writes and all of Bronsons performances this is my favorite story in the Grimnoir series because of the origin story. ive owned thi title for about 10 years and i listen to 2 or 3 times a year.

This series is great. I've recommended to about 100 people over the years and they all agree. Not one disappointment.

Fantastic, enjoyable, fun

This is the Larry Carrera we love—like Monster Hunter or Dead Six we have awesome characters we care about doing exciting things in a fun alternate reality. This kills the heck out of his serious fantasy trials. Read these and reread them many times as I have—and thank you to an amazing performer—truly one of the best on Audible.
