Publisher's summary

After the success of The Lady Most Likely, New York Times best-selling authors Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, and Connie Brockway have joined together once again, but this time to ask the question, 'Who is The Lady Most Willing?'

When Laird Taran Ferguson's nephews refuse to wed and secure his birthright, he takes matters into his own hands, raiding a ball and kidnapping four likely brides - a bonny lass, an heiress with a slight reputation problem, a rich English beauty, and a maiden without a name or a fortune. But which one is ready to fall in love with the Scottish lord?

Add a very angry duke, a decrepit castle, and a fierce Highland storm that is holding all of Taran's "guests" captive to the mix, and listeners will find themselves transported to a world of temptation, passion, and new and unexpected love. This historical romance novel in three parts - a single story with three compelling voices - is one that will not soon be forgotten.

Wonderful

Think 7 Brides for 7 brothers, only with 4 unrelated men and 4 different women...and no music! But still a romp. Well told, well narrated. Loved all the stories! I did have a particular soft spot for Duke of Bretton and his lady. Very funny and so sweet. Highly recommend! Go for it and enjoy. Susan Duerden does a terrific job.

Cute, predictable, zero heat

I'm a huge fan of Connie Brockway's so I chose this book expecting something a bit, well, steamier. This trilogy of connected stories is nicely done, and there some funny moments, but the love stories have little time to develop. There is one recurring character, a ridiculously flirtatious and spoiled younger sister, who is written as so unlikeable that I found myself actually resenting her HEA. Favorite character: the barbaric but mostly harmless laird who sets the stories in motion by kidnapping prospective brides for his embarrassed nephews. I enjoyed Susan Duerdon's narration, for the most part, but her female characters were almost impossible to distinguish from one another when sharing a conversation.

I hesitate to call this boring, because all three authors and the narrator do a competent job. However, when forgot to put this audiobook on pause while on the phone, then went back to it realizing I had missed several minutes of the second story, I didn't bother to go back and see what I had missed. That's pretty unusual for me.

A pretty piece of fluff.

Fun and quick listen.

The story reminded me of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in some ways. The narrator's inflection was a bit irritating at times but overall voices were unique enough to distinguish characters

not quite an anthology, but almost!

Any additional comments?

If you think this is an anthology, since there are 3 authors, you would be wrong. If you think this reminds you of an anthology since there are 3 authors, you would be right. I applaud the unique way this book, (and its predecessor: The Lady Most Likely), is able to combine the 3 voices of 3 talented authors. No surprises, if you've read them before, they are true to form. Solid writing, a bit whimsical, light and entertaining.I recommend this book if you enjoy short stories, for while the novel is seamless, there isn't the depth or character development of a regular novel, so at the end you feel like when you've just eaten one half of the candy bar. It was sweet, it was enough, but you end up wanting more.I recommend this for any short story, anthology aficionados, but if you are looking for a long romance with all the twist, turns and plotting devices we have come to enjoy, you might be disappointed. But give it a try, it's a nice way to get your fix from Quinn, Brockway and James, while we wait for them to release a full length novel with all the gripping parts that keeps us hooked!

Great story.

It was wonderful only thing that would improve it would be each character have their voices as apposed to a female for the male parts

The book is ok but performance in terrible

The narrator is no Rosalyn Landor! From the very first sentence that was obvious! The worst part is that she makes the male protagonists sound very, very creepy !

Overacted

Decent enough book. It's really hard to write a cohesive book with multiple authors. I usually love Susan Duerden's narrations. The director for this piece had her overdo the accents such that it was distracting rather than enhancing the story.

3 great authors..

Any additional comments?

Loved this book! The only problem I had with it was the description of Byron, "white-blond hair and black eyebrows." I like to imagine my heroes but I just couldn't see that.

However, I loved all the characters: Taran, too, too funny. Marilla, flighty, goofy, silly and a kinda crazy. Cecily, sweet and determined. She knew who she wanted and went after him. Byron, the very staid earl who had Fiona to open his eyes to his true self. Fiona, awesome and bespeckled. Bret, the Duke, enough said. Catriona, I loved her character, she and the duke had some fun moments. Robin, who tried to hide away but failed miserably. A really fun and funny read. There was one sex scene in this book but some great sexual tension.

As to the narrator. It was Susan Duerden, what more can I say? She laughs and cries and yells and whispers, everything a narrator is supposed to do. I love, love, love her narration.
