Yes! It is an fun and interesting story.

What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Absolutely! I love her in the Stephanie Plum books, so I was tickled to hear her voice when she started reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Charley has many levels that are very touching.

Would you consider the audio edition of First Grave on the Right to be better than the print version?

I love listening to as many of the books in my library as I can so the audio is ALWAYS a favorite over print.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Charlie - strong female lead with spunk.

Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't know - she was great in this one.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Who needs a sparkling vampire when you can have a sparkling grim reaper?!

It was great - I LOVE the author interviews at the end of her 2nd and 3rd books!

First Darynda Jones Book Didn't Disappoint

Probably - if I knew the friend was into quirky humored books about supernatural beings.

Would you be willing to try another book from Darynda Jones? Why or why not?

I've already started book 2, so I think the answer is yes...because the series is interesting.

Which scene was your favorite?

The one at the murder scene where Charley is trying to convince the dead man that he is, in fact, dead.

Was First Grave on the Right worth the listening time?

Yeah, it was.

Lorelei King does it again!

Fun book, but Lorelei King made it even better. She is my favorite narrator and I trusted her reputation. We were not disappointed!

Soooo worth the credit!!! If ur into fantacy, u wld b nuts to miss out on this awesome series if u dont have a credit, then its worth the $$, & I don't say that about a lot of bks.
This is one of my most favorite series! This will be my 3rd time listening to this series, & i have over 600 audiobooks. I NEVER want it to end!!! Unfortunately, I just received book 13, and its the last one, sob sob, choke choke. I'm devastated. How can I live w/o Charlie, Cookie, gang?!?! I've come to love these characters & will truly miss them. I'm praying she'll have a spin off w Charlie's daughter or Cookies daughter, or both. Yeah, 2 spinoffs, even better 😃
Anywho, obviously, I'm a big fan. Out of all my audiobooks, I only have a handful that really make a mark on me. Only a few that I can't wait for the nxt bk to come out & that I actually remember when I see it & then get super excited when I do. Oh, & I can't forget the narrator!!! Lorelei King is totally awesome! She is the perfect pick for this series! I've listened to her b4 & I think she's one of the top 5, if not top then top 3 narrators. She is spot on w the voices & no one does snark better 😍
So thank u, Darynada Jones, for such an awesome, incredible series. I'm going to miss it sooo much. I, personally, don't see why it has to end, but I think you're an incredible author & I will scoop up everything I can by u. (hopefully a couple of spinoffs, just sayin' 😏)

...what a trio!!! I will definitely be following this series. I just finished First Grave on the Right and am now listening to Second Grave. Darynda Jones has a new fan. I love Charley's feisty attitude and Lorelei King is great as narrator.
