Publisher's summary

The first time I was declared dead, I lost my past. The second time, I lost my humanity. Now I’m being hunted, and if I die again, my soul is up for forfeit.

After enrolling in Peel Academy, an elite supernatural boarding school on the British Isles, the last of the sirens, Gabrielle Fiori, only wants to fit in. Instead, the elixir meant to awaken her supernatural abilities kills her.

When Gabrielle wakes up in the morgue 12 hours later, something wicked is awakened in her, something even the supernatural community has never seen before. Now the only person who can help her is Andre de Leon, the community's infamous bad boy and the king of vampires.

Yet even his help can’t prevent the repeated attempts on Gabrielle’s life. Someone is after her, and they will stop at nothing to end her short existence. Only Gabrielle cannot let that happen now that her soul hangs in the balance, because she may have met the devil. And he wants her. Bad.

Unearthly

I was quite surprised about how the story developed. I bought the audible based on the title and when I saw the details, I was disappointed at my selection because of the high school and age setting. Imagine my astonishment when the main character actually has a substance and not an immature, needy character. I love Gabriel, the story is very misterious and captivating. I’m definitely getting the next of the series. I love the author, she tells the most beautiful, enchanting stories. ❤️❤️❤️

Was no Bargainer series

I bought this book because I loved The Bargainer Series. The author captured the romance, drama, and humor all each story. This book though, seemed to be for a different younger kind of audience. Still a good story, just not what I expected.

YA All the Way

clean YA. Narration was very good. Story was interesting but not very exciting or intriguing like some of the author's other works.

A siren vampire

Jill Smith did a fantastic job as a narrator for this story. I hope she narrators the 4 other books in this series.

Where to begin? Mrs. Thalassa does it again. Draws you in, keeps it interesting, and makes you crave more.

A siren/vampire, the king of vampires, seers, fates, fairies, shape shifters... a magical world inside our very own not so magical world. A unsolved Mystery, a murder plot, and the biggest twist of all. I can’t wait for book two to be available on audible.

LOVED IT!

So, kinda like most people, I fell in love with Laura Thalassa’s books after reading The Bargainer series. I didn’t know anything about this series and went into it totally blind and I don’t regret it at all! Some parts of it reminded me of Harry Potter, but for a YA audience instead of middle grade. And instead of wizards and witches, everyone is something different. Such a fun and quick read, and the romance was not too rushed, but not to dragged out either. I will definitely be binging this series!
