Publisher's summary

Stormy “Breeze” Morgan was living the high life until her dreams came crashing down around her and she lost her book contract. With nothing left to do—and no money in her bank account—she’s forced to return to the family business, a diner in Northern Lower Michigan.

Stormy never thought she would have to work with her family again, and it’s just as horrific as she expected. Things only get worse when, after a night of drinking with her cousin, a family Ouija board leads to a burst of magic and Stormy wakes floating over her bed the next morning.

In short order, she finds out it’s not only possible that she’s a witch but also probable, which leads her to the neighboring town of Hemlock Cove to learn from some legendary witches who reside there.

Stormy thought returning to Shadow Hills would be the worst thing that happened to her. She was wrong. Being a witch is fun…as is crossing paths with her first love Hunter Ryan. If only she could keep herself out of trouble. The mounting body count in Shadow Hills keeps her on the edge of adventure, though…and danger is never far behind.

This three-book omnibus includes the first three books in the Two Broomsticks Gas & Grill series: Sinfully Delicious, Caffeinated Calamity, and A Little Slice of Death.

Not a bad read

Think of the MTV show Awkward and set it about 8ish years after high school. That’s exactly what the dialogue of this book makes me think of when I listened to it. It took me a while to get into it but I’m not hating it completely. From the description, I was hoping for more magic and witchcraft to be a part of the story but it took a while for that to come to fruition. Again, overall not bad. A good light read for vacation or beach days

I like the narrator. The stories are good at some points. a little slow, but overall they're good stories.

Performance excellent!

I loved listening to the narrator’s talented switch from each character’s voice. They each had just enough difference to make it believable.
I loved listening to all three books. But, unless there is a fourth book, I didn’t like the ending. Flat. Otherwise, with another book, I will continue to listen and hopefully give a better review after that. Please tell me there’s a 4th book!!!

Laugh out loud mystery / love story

I LOVE the dialog between main character Stormy and her Grandfather. I rarely have "laugh out loud" moments while listening to a book, but I enjoyed several with this set of three! Jill Smith, the narrator is spot on, and easy to listen to.

At times it seemed a bit YA, other times had a bit too much sexism, (...that Stormy called people out on). But it is a great "light-hearted" set of stories.

I'm happy I used a credit for this set. I'm going to purchase more in the series.

Books improve

After listening to the book1 if a stand alone download I’d have not bothered but surprisingly with each book the story improved
The last chapter being the hook to follow the series further
Not great
Not riveting
But certainly a pleasant listen

Absolutely Awful

The narrator is horrible. The story sounds like it was written by a teenager. Pass by and save yourself from dissappointment.

Good stories, unlikeable main character

Started this series because I've listened to all my regular favorite authors. The stories are good but the main character is whiny, feels sorry for herself, is spolied and is generally a jerk.
