Little bits of life

These short stories surrounding the everyday lives of Detective Calvin Winter and his fiancé/husband Sebastian Snow fills in the gaps of their relationship between the four Snow and Winter mysteries. Between C.S. Poe’s masterful writing and Wyatt Baker’s narration it is the perfect compliment to this writer’s fans. So good. Loved it.

Loved! Such a treat!

It's always a good day when I get to revisit with two of my all time favorite characters, Snow and Winter!
Interlude is a collection of delightful short stories that follow our favorite couple.
Full of all the snark we have come to expect and love from our residential antiques dealer Sebastian and the strength and patience that comes with Calvin!
Above all else is the absolute, unconditional love they have for each other!
I know that this will be a book I pick up and randomly pick one of the gems to revisit!
Wyatt Baker does a wonderful job narrating this gem!

A must for fans of the series

Great, funny stories that fans of the series will love. Narrator has some minor issues (long pauses, etc.) at the beginning, and gets smoother the further you get into the book. Variety of voices were good, except it would have been nice if Seb and Calvin’s voices were more distinct from each other. Narrator shines when Seb is excited or upset.

🎧 Narrator comment: I enjoyed Wyatt Baker's narration. He has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Overall I enjoyed his performance and he bought each snippet to life.

Wyatt Baker *is* Sebastian . . .

. . . and he does a damn fine Calvin too! If you enjoyed the books, the audio just adds another layer to it. Hearing Sebastian grousing at life while Calvin somehow manages to stay calm and Max sprinkles in color commentary is gold, especially in a voice that (to me) is exactly what Seb should sound like. I was just sad when it was over.

Seb & Calvin the perfect Ampersand couple

Interlude by C.S. Poe was given to me in exchange for an honest review. I was so happy to listen to Wyatt Baker bring them into my living room to laugh and listen to them bicker and love one another. It is so fun to check into their lives and make sure all is well. I will say I loved the whole book but Someone's in the Wall just cracked me up so much I had tears in my eyes. This is definitely a reread.
