The Sinners are SOOO back!

While this should have been book THREE, it was still easy to keep pace and reflect back on what I already knew. What I didn't expect was the depth of story from Jace....the sexy bassist drummer who has a dark past and only one woman might be able to bring him up out of his shell, the sexy dominatrix Mistress B...okay it might be Mistress V, hard to say since I only listened to it, but still totally awesome story, lots of plot depth, and it didn't get too tangled in the S&M side of life, it was a wonderful glimpse into the mind of Jace, and definitely worth the credit...heck I'd have paid two for it!

I was a bit dissapointed with the narrator. I understand that Jace wasn't too emotional...but did he have to sound like a robot?

Painfully loved this story

As much as this story is too "out there" for me (not into bondage) the author/narrator pulled it off. Parts of the story I did have to skip forward because I'm a little too squeamish for that kind of stuff but the actual love story was good. Jac seems very sweet but I think in the real world they would both need therapy. Keeping this as a fantasy it was a great ride.

What a great series! Love you Jace!

What did you love best about Hot Ticket?

The whole book. I love the way Olivia brings it all together; Aggie just keeps chipping away.

What other book might you compare Hot Ticket to and why?

I really like Olivia's style of writing and wouldn't compare this book; just know this series is in my top 10 favourite reads now.

Have you listened to any of Justine O. Keef’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Justine is awesome! I would listen to anything she narrates. I have only listened to this series with her as the narrator and again EXCELLENT!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Jace finally realises the band are his friends and family! He really is very cute.

Any additional comments?

I wish that these books were released in the correct reading order :/ not to worry I will re-listen to this series again and again. Audible more of Olivia's books please !

just lovely

it took a bit to get used to the main characters and their interests. but in the end I loved how they were able to give the best of each other and be good to the other despite their pasts. it was not what I would call a romance but a dark love story. cant wait to read more.

Very good addition to the series :D

4 stars

This was a very good story. I liked Jace and Aggie and their story was deep and emotional, dealing a lot with inside angst and not much outside drama.

Aggie is a stripper and a Dominatrix. She deals out "corporal punishment" on men for very good money and does the stripping because she enjoys it. She hasn't had good luck with encountering good men (since she was very young) and it is what propelled her into being a Domme. She has an irresponsible mother and a father that wasn't around since before she was born so Aggie has had to fend for herself most of her life. She's certainly never found a man she'd trust in a relationship.

Jace has a very tragic past. His mother blamed him for her own lost dreams and emotionally abused him for years. Then when she died in a car wreck, his father took out his rage on Jace, blaming Jace for all his problems. As you can see...Jace really lost the parents lotto. His father died when Jace was in his teens, in a way that had Jace blaming himself. Jace grew up in a mess of self hatred and guilt. Thankfully, he found something to give him hope...something to that made him want to become a great bass player so he could join his favorite band, Sinners. Years later, it actually happens.

Although Jace has achieved his dream of being a bass player with Sinners, he's still consumed by inner pain. When it gets too bad, he needs to find release through physical pain. Sometimes fighting will do it but it's hard to fight without messing up his hands and/or getting in trouble with the police. What really helps him is to find a Domme to give him pain. He's not a submissive and doesn't get off on being humiliated but he needs the pain. When the story begins, there's some overlap with the timeframe of book #2 Rock Hard and they're at Brian's bachelor party. At the strip club, Jace sees Aggie (aka Mistress V) dancing and she notices him in return. There's some flirting and such and soon Jace is finding out that she's a real Domme and trying to set up an appointment for later. Unfortunately, their conversation is interrupted when some bouncers start giving some of the other band members trouble and there's a fight. Jace isn't able to finish talking to Aggie and she doesn't think she'll see him again. She's a little sad too because she was attracted to Jace in a way she hadn't felt for a man before. Jace isn't deterred though and comes back to find her and make arrangements to meet the next night.

When Jace arrives for his session, Aggie is surprised to find that he's not submissive and it just turns her on more. She doesn't sleep with her clients so once she ends her session with Jace she declares herself done with him as a paying client because she wants him in bed. Jace is very much up for that but has some kinks that makes it hard to be with most women and he is nervous about what Aggie will think of him. They find that their kinks work well together though and they appreciate the things about each other that most people wouldn't. They end up seeing each other a few times before Jace has to leave town and they keep in contact once he leaves. Jace has never had much luck with people that were supposed to love him in the past so he's never sought a relationship. He fears them and isn't usually willing to consider anything lasting but he can't stop thinking about Aggie. Eventually they see each other more and their connection grows each time they do. Aggie starts to realize Jace's issues and slowly and carefully tries to help him through the minefield that is his past and emotions. Things don't always go smoothly and there are other external issues that have to be dealt with as well but I liked the way things worked out. Jace and Aggie do end the story starting a well deserved HEA.

This was a very enjoyable story (in a very emotional way). I really liked Aggie as a heroine, sometimes she was almost a little too perfect but it wasn't bad. Jace was a wonderful damaged hero, so sweet and with so much love in him yet so doubting of his own worth, convinced that no one could care for him...you just can't help but want him to find true happiness. Jace and Aggie together just really worked for me, they fit each other perfectly. Overall, it was a very emotional but very good story. I'd recommend this story. :)

It connects with the other stories good.

Would you listen to Hot Ticket again? Why?

I would listen if I just wanted to have something to listen to but it would not be my first choice

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I like the way she helped him deal with his pain from the past and how patient and understanding she was with him.

Have you listened to any of Justine O. Keef’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She did good.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When he finally realized he was in love and was able to except it.

Any additional comments?

The book was a little slow but once the shooting happened the book spead up. Maybe the author could make the begins of her books faster. It seemed she did not know which direction she was going.

I Loved the whole series.

Where does Hot Ticket rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

At the top

Have you listened to any of Justine O. Keef’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I have not.

Any additional comments?

The author wrote the books out of order. Book 4 is the last book released. This should have been book 5. Book 5 which took place before book 4 has yet to be released.

Not As Good As The Others Because of Repetition

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, however if you've read the others in the series you will hear the repetition from the other books. This can be good-to hear updates from past characters stories, however in this instance there were a few big chunks/sections (with minor alterations) from previous books in the series.

Would you be willing to try another book from Olivia Cunning? Why or why not?

I'll finish out this series but I think I'm all set with the rock star storyline.

Have you listened to any of Justine O. Keef’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, she does a better than 'fair' job however her female characters sound similar to one another. As do the male characters....you need to pay attention.

Do you think Hot Ticket needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not necessarily a follow up to tie up loose ends. But I am attached to the characters and hope there is a continuation to the series...gotta hear Eric's story (and possibly John's if he remains with the band).

Any additional comments?

Sexy & hot scenes.

Mature themes and language

I liked it

I read this book a year or two ago, but decided to get the audio version.

I enjoyed the story, but I swear it was sex, sex, sex..all day long. I loved Jace and he was awesome with Aggie. We got to see Sinners through Jace's eyes so that was nice.

I live all the Sinners books even with some critical comments. There is a lot of sex so be prepared for everyone to be getting laid on and off through the books 😄

On to the next book..Eric

Thought I I should finish to leave a review, very difficult

Please do not waste your time listening to this book. I literally finished it to be fair to the writer when saying it is an absolute waste of time. Juvenile writing, poor character development, and very disappointing acting well narrating.
