Publisher's summary

Born into violence. Ruthlessly brutal. Savagely alluring.

Maddoc, Dante, and Logan. The Reapers.

They’re the type of men mothers warn their daughters about, and the last thing I should be doing is marching into their territory and proposing a deal.

But I don’t have any other options.

My sister has been sold to the notorious West Point gang to cover a debt my father owes, and I’ll do anything to get her back... even if it means offering myself up to the Reapers, West Point’s enemies.

It should be simple. Live under their roof, under their control, until they find a way to free my sister.

But in this dangerous new world I find myself part of, nothing is ever simple. And with every rough touch, every searing look, something inside me starts to unravel. I start to crave their darkness instead of fearing it.

I’m playing with fire, dancing too close to the flames…

And when secrets and lies light the match, we’re all going to burn.

This is the first book in the Ruthless Hearts series, a new adult enemies to lovers romance. It contains steam, violence, and dark subject matter. Please venture into this audio at your own discretion.

Don’t think it’s similar to ruthless games

The other review says it’s just like ruthless games but only similarities to me are 3 guys and one girl. But everything else is completely different. I actually think this book is better so far! Only problem I have is the female narrator is very robotic when she reads the male parts and it’s very annoying.

I loved it

It is a must read/listen, but I am very disappointed that audible does not have the 3rd book. I found this out after I started listening & was hooked by then only to find out that I’m going to be left hanging

So Good!

This book snatched my interest early on, and I finished it in one day. I did the same with book 2 🙌🏻 While I understand what some people mean regarding the FMC and her irrational decions at times, I still like her overall. Her loyalty to her sister is respectable, and her connection to the guys is undeniable. Love them!

Pretty good storyline, but not sure about the FMC

I liked this book but wish the FMC was stronger. Hopeful she will be stronger in the next book of the series. The writer kind of made her seem stupid and it was kind of hard to see why the guys even started liking her at all. Especially, when they normally don't like anyone but each other. She just didn't have any attributes that stood out or seemed to make her special. I liked the multiple POV's but wish there would have been more of the guys'; it was mostly Riley's POV. This book seemed more like a slow burn as not much happens in the book for most of the characters, but in reality the book is written over a period of only a couple weeks or so. Some of the writing was annoying, like almost everytime the FMC would start talking she'd never finished or was interrupted. It was so annoying to listen to and made her sound like a pathetic idiot that wasn't even strong enough to get the words or her thoughts out.

The male narrator did a great job but the female narrator was really robotic. It was still okay, but I think a different female narrator would have improved how the story was told.

possible spoiler alert... I get this is a dark mob type book, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't be concerned about STD's. Riley just lets Maddoc bang her without protection a couple days after watching him bang some rando without protection. Nasty. Also, I'm so sick of reading about weak females getting turned on or forgiving a-hole guys immediately after they treat them like crap just because they are good looking or sexy. Barf. Please write some FMC's that blow off the jerk as soon as they screw up and don't give them the time of day until they work their a** off for it. Have some dignity. Like I said she just seemed stupid, she had opportunity to run at the end after what she did to a certain MMC but instead she was so in her head about everything and wasting time that she missed her chance. Sometimes it's hard to read about dumb females, just like it's hard to watch movies that portray them as dumb. Fingers crossed the next book is better. I'm still curious how everything progresses and I would still recommend this book.

Very similar to Ruthless Games

First, I'm going to with hold all judgement until part 2 drops but so far the storyline is good. The 3 men are carbon copies of the 3 men in Ruthless Games.... IDENTICAL! Lots of heat. Great cliffhanger... looking forward to part 2.

Why?

If I had a dollar for every time a book had amazing reviews but actually stunk I’d be rich! I was all set for a good storyline with an actual plot and a twist or turn or anything but noooooo. I’m 4hrs into this and absolutely nothing has happened. I just can’t listen anymore. If you’re going to tell a story then TELL IT!

Skipped to the end just to say I finished

The book was insanely slow and repetitive. The FMC goes from being a bada** to weak within seconds which for me, is one of the worst types of leads. She loses her mind over random d*ck. I just wasn’t feeling this story and won’t finish the trilogy.
