Amazing story and great narration

Well... I don't know why I haven't written a review of this book, this is like the 3rd time I listen to it.
Lexi C Foss once again manage to create a great paranormal word, with an amazing plot and characters you will fall for.
Darius and Juliette story was fantastic, I love how their relationship evolves and how Juliette breaks from her training and grows a backbone.
The secondary characters are an important part of the story and have a role to play that we will see in the next books, and they intrigued you and makes you want to read more about them.

As for the narration, Sarah Puckett and Kale Williams are perfection. I love that Lexi has chosen them to narrate her books, because they bring the story to life in an amazing way and makes you want to listen and listen for hours.

This story has a bit of a rough start. First, the listener/reader isn’t sure about the Hero’s true character. In addition, the Heroine is so weak, it’s sickening. The biggest obstacle, as is common in many romance stories, is the lack of true communication between the H and h. This lead to hurt feelings and misunderstandings that hampered their ultimate goals. This does get ironed out in the last chapter, but then the book ends with a short epilogue. I wish there could have been a few more chapters including events that were experienced wit the H and h being on the same wavelength.

Be aware that this book has a lot of violence and murder, in it. This series should probably be skipped by individuals who are intolerant of such subject matter.

Great story and characters!

I love this book. I love Sarah Puckett and Kale Williams as the narrators. They really bring the characters to life. This is a very intriguing story that I dis not wan to stop listening to. I love how Darius and others are playing the long game for a chance at a better world. Darius and Juliet are perfect. I love how strong Juliet becomes with the help of Darius. Cant wait for the next story!

Story is questionable at best

Narrators are both fabulous. Story is questionable. He doesn’t care about her pleasure yet she craves him. This whole story seems like something geared towards a man’s taste. IMO not something interesting for women at all

Great beginning

As the “beginner” book of the series, there isn’t any let down. When you finish, you’re going to want the next book in the series.

It was a nice story

I enjoyed the male voice. i plan to follow him as he reads for other series.

obsessed

I am obsessed with this whole series! i've gone back and listen to it multiple times. each book is mainly about one couple but their interactions with each other to further the plot of the series is just fantastic and there is a great variety of personalities. its just a fun easy read/listen.

Cute…way too much

Cute story but way too much inner dialogue. I feel it was to make the story longer. Often times the same sentence was repeated right behind each other just worded differently. I get that this book was just the set up for the next. The narrators did a great job!

Fantastic narrators

An enjoyable new series for me to dive into during my reading through Lexi’s backlist. The narrators are incredibly talented especially the male lead who was able to manage the multiple accents. The storyline itself, with all the build up, felt slightly unfinished which makes me believe you couldn’t exactly read each book as a standalone. But I will continue on the series because I’m curious for more Jace!
