Good resource for both therapists and clients

I am an occupational therapy student and I wanted to explore these three therapies more in depth. I have found them to be useful, but the specific utility of it will be once I put this into practice. I would recommend that the listener listen intently and take notes, but it’s also good to listen while doing other tasks (walking, house chores). The only complaint I have is the pronunciation of some of the terms i.e. medications and other words was not correct. It was also kind of annoying when she would read “i.e.” instead of saying “for example.” Overall would recommend if someone is completely new to these therapies!

Bizarre intonation, useful information, although weird phrasing

Had to rewind to understand statements where intonation just didn’t match or was opposite to the writing. Some statements like, “you can do this,” are just weird in this context.

Save my life. Great book

This book had some useful information, but it is overly repetitive and made far too complicated in its structure and use of acronyms across the different sections. If it were well describe using key points, with the associated homework tasks in the same section, then this would have made it more accessible for the professional and client alike.

Excellent book

Excellent listen on the principles of cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I recommend this to anyone who might be suffering from depression, anxiety or negative thinking. It helps you understand how to get yourself out of the rut by thinking differently about any given situation. It's easy to read and not too clinical.

Awkward

Awkward writing and a bad performance, but the essentials are here.
The narration really is bad, though. The narrator struggles with pacing and pronunciation as if this was all done in one blind read.
The ACT theory section is a bit overbold too. For example, antipsychiatric theory should be noted as having a stronger foundation in linguistic theory, but the book claims that only ACT has a linguistic theory.
