The Tenth by Smadar Shir, Acum's Award for 2007, describes a unique relationship between Asaf - a mischievous youth, curious and smart, who lost his mother, hand and leg - and Stav, a young journalist, who sent to interview him in preparation for his tenth surgery. Stav wants to publish his story because she thinks he is a hero. Asaf claims that he is not. He was only seated in a restaurant and waited for the food to be served when a terrorist came in and exploded.
