Continuing after the events in Book 12: The Lost Planet, Operation Arrow highlights the unit's deployment as mercenaries this time, filling the coffers from the ten year war that the unit stumbled upon in Book 5: Eagle Hammer. Their deployment takes them to a range of planets, showing their skills are the same when saddled as a special operations capable unit as part of a larger task force sent in to quell another insurgency as well as dealing with French mercenaries for a peacekeeping mission. Will they get through all of this as usual?

For years Loeffler the dragon was banished from the Great Land Council due to an incident for which she was banished. With that, she has been steadily trying to get back into the good graces of the Council. Upon a meeting to determine her fate, she meets a human and falls in love with him. Unable to stop her obsession, she meets with this human and has a brief encounter with him, seeing if they can get along with each other. This is an adapted Kindle Vella story that I had written before.

After their stint as mercenaries, the Troop is sent back to Friesland to help remove the holdouts left on the planet. They also perform a mercenary mission in their travels as well. A continuation of events from Book 13 the Troop goes through changes as well as surviving the hostile planets just to survive another day.

The military leadership has close ties to the Royal Dutch Army and requests help in suppressing a campaign to make Christianity its sole religion. Following Streets of Destiny Baromir must deliver a magic scroll to the Great Land Council. Things are weird when the person who needs the scroll delivered, is a dragon herself. Baromir travels to the Great Land Council and finds out that the person that contacted him is a dragon. He doesn't know what to do with this information, but finds it interesting that a dragon has approached him for this task. His friends Famir and Lorna join him, as well as his lover Esmeralda as they make their way to the Great Land Council to deliver the scroll.
