Katelyn, who is very health-conscious, enrolls in a health club in a small town that she had recently moved to. While working out at the club, she observes the various clients of the club who come and go and work out there as well. Some of them come with a partner. Some look like they are trying to get in shape after a relationship breakup; others for health reasons. She looks at these people, each one of them representing a part of her past life; the life she thought she was running away from by moving out of a metropolitan area to a small town.

Richard is going through mid-life crisis, having an affair, and plans to leave his wife and children. He suddenly has a revelation while on the golf course, as he watches his golf buddies, and then listens to them complain about their lives at the 19th hole. He decides that he is better off with his wife, and makes a pact with himself to get his body in shape, as his wife had been nagging him about. Perhaps they could work out together.
