• 29. Overcoming Anxiety With Jesus on Your Side ft. Karli Quigley
    Feb 28 2024

This week we are blessed by the one and only Karli Quigley! She spoke at our SWW Conference on her experience with anxiety and mental health and how, with Christ on her side, she worked through that season of her life (and continues to work through it). Her vulnerability and rawness as she shared what she experienced was so moving and encouraging for the teens. I pray that her talk helps you in some way also!

We first talked to Karli in Episode 1 of the WHOA! What? Word. Podcast and on our 2nd episode. Listen to it on SPOTIFY HERE or on Apple Podcasts HERE.

    Feb 21 2024

On this week's episode, we hear from two incredible women from Riverwood Church Community - Brittany Petku (Youth & Young Adults Pastor) and her mom, Carolyn Petku (Congregational Care Pastor). They discuss relationships and friendships, how we approach them, and how we are called to live ‘set apart’ from those around us.

This amazing mother-daughter duo shares personal stories and things they learned as Brittany navigated relationships and friendships in high school and how her mother responded right there by her side.

Brittany will be speaking at our SHE WEARS WORTH Conference coming up on April 19th+20th, 2024!

  • 26. WELCOME BACK - The Scariest Prayer I Ever Prayed & Life Update
    Feb 7 2024

After several months away, WE ARE BACK!  Season 3  is going to look a little bit different than our first two because this season is primarily going to consist of prerecorded talks from our first SWW Conference that happened in October of 2022. With our next conference happening on April 19th & 20th in Winnipeg, I wanted to make time and share all the powerful, practical, and encouraging things we learned from our incredible speakers last year!

A lot has happened in the last 7(ish) months - we welcomed our son, Waylon into the world in October and before that, in June, the adoption of our oldest was finalized. In this episode, I give a bit of a life update AND share about the scariest prayer I ever prayed ('Thy Will Be Done...') and how my attitude, outlook, and heart changed after praying it!

We are excited to be back!

  • 25. Who Told You That? How Knowing What God Says About You Changes Everything with Nicoletta Bradley
    Jun 21 2023

WHO TOLD YOU THAT? Just as God questioned Adam and Even in Genesis 3,  Nicoletta Bradley has been called to help girls and challenge what they think about themselves. She wants to help girls and women know and understands the TRUTH God says about them!

Having struggled with an eating disorder since she was young, and having experienced the hurts, lies, and pain that comes from living for the approval of others, her life radically changed when she started to listen to and truly believe what God said about her. Well, what the enemy meant for evil, God meant for good. Now, Nicoletta runs a program, NOBLE, that combines faith and fitness to help young girls and women understand their TRUE worth and value.

Nicoletta’s passion and enthusiasm for God’s faithfulness and promises are infectious, and this episode is 40 minutes of TRUTH, ENERGY, PASSION, and BOLDNESS and we pray you leave encouraged!

  • 23. Bloom Through What You Go Through, Healing From Bullying with Andi Long
    May 31 2023

In this week’s episode, I get the chance to speak with Andi Long, the Founder & Executive Director of Bloom Foundation. An organization based in Austin, Texas that empowers and encourages young women to grow through what they go through, specifically bullying.

Andi felt called to start the organization after years of experiencing bullying herself. It started in elementary school, continued in middle school, and again in college. After researching and looking for tools that could help her cope with what she was going through and coming up empty-handed, she felt God call her to share her story and create an organization. She took her hurt, pain, and struggles and was determined to help other girls experiencing the same thing!

Today, the Bloom Foundations helps teen girls all over grow through what they are going through, by equipping them with tools to work through the emotions, hurt, confusion, and more, that come with being bullied. Andi not only shares with us parts of her story, but more information on the organization, what the Bloom Foundation offers, and how to get involved.

    Foundational Values of Bloom Foundation:

    1. Belief
    2. Perspective
     3. Habits & Creative Outlets

  • 22. When God Changes Everything - A Testimony with Samantha Hadaway
    May 17 2023

After a tragedy struck in high school, Samanta found herself searching in all the wrong places for love and acceptance, trying to fill the hole in her heart. It wasn't until Christmas Eve several years ago,  she walked into a church and was met by the welcoming arms of a kind and gentle church member. Because of several women who met her right where she was, she was introduced to the love and character of Jesus.

On today's episode, I have the absolute privilege of sitting down with Samantha Hadaway as she shares her raw, real, emotional testimony. Her story is a reminder that the God we love and serve is in the business of chasing after us and radically changing lives.

We recorded the episode on Good Friday, and there is no better way to rejoice in what Christ did on the cross than by giving Him glory and praise through sharing His goodness.
