I’ve been reading… books and essays (or blogs). I recently read two articles that seemed to spawn sort of delightful potpourri of thought and conjecture. One was an article on author Henry Miller by Maria Popova and the other came from recent Terry Hershey Sabbath Moment posts.

These are the kinds of ideas that, for me, demand discussion. So today, I’ve asked friend, author, and creative thinker Terry Hershey to ponder with me on several kinds of non-related subjects such as Storm Homes and the totally unrelated subject of the wonder of old age.

Hey Paul.

Did you know that our guest today, Taryn Voget, is responsible for birthing our podcast, The Next Chapter with Charlie. This show was all Taryn’s idea.

After she and I had lunch at a client’s cafeteria, she said something like, “Charlie, you ask such good questions, you should do a podcast.” That was 7 years ago, and today we are on show #319!

My conversation today is with my dear friend and one-time personal coach, Dena Crowder. Dena makes the list of one of my “all-time favorite” people. Brilliant, wise, compelling, and… so much fun!

Today we talk about the essentials of Dena’s upcoming book about Personal Identity. Dena writes. “Our identity is a story we tell ourselves about who we are and our place in the world.”
