Zukanye is a finance intern at Momentum Metropolitan, originally from East London. She studied a BCom in financial accounting and economics at the University of the Western Cape, after initially wanting to pursue law but being deterred by the perception of low earnings. Despite finding some accounting subjects very challenging, she persevered with the support of her pastor. At Momentum, Zukanye is spearheading governance and systems projects as the first intern in her department. Her manager has helped her apply theoretical learning in a real workplace. This experience has sparked her interest in potentially becoming a chartered accountant and aspiring for executive roles like CFO or CEO in the future. Her advice is to intentionally explore career options and seek mentors.

Happy Boyama is a dedicated legal professional and Attorney of the High Court, currently serving as a Legal Advisor at a prominent legal insurance company. With a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) specializing in Immigration and Refugee Law, Children's Rights, and Family Law, Mrs. Boyama brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. Her diverse experience, including a stint as a Lecturing Assistant and completion of articles, coupled with her successful admission to the High Court, underscores her commitment to using the law as a tool for justice and societal change. At her current position, she expertly guides clients through complex legal issues, always prioritizing the rights and well-being of those she serves, particularly in areas affecting vulnerable populations.

Talita, known as Talia, is an ex-student who studied Professional Acting for Camera at City Varsity. Although she initially pursued acting, she is currently working towards becoming a cosmetic chemist while residing in the township of Samora Machel. Talia is a multitalented individual, engaging in poetry, acting, and singing, with her main goal being to motivate young women who struggle with self-confidence. She refers to this as "unleashing your emancipatory power," a concept inspired by the author Dr. Hlami.

Ashley Daswa is a well-rounded investment professional possessing experience in asset allocation, portfolio construction and embedding sustainable and responsible investment within portfolios. He has proven record of accomplishment, with over a decade experience in the investment management industry. Ashley is currently a Senior Investment Specialist at Sanlam Corporate Investments. Before re-joining Sanlam, he worked for Old Mutual Investments Strategy team where he was responsible for asset allocation and integration of responsible investing within the investment processes with special focus on alternative assets. He also worked in companies such as Aequalitas Capital Partners, Impact Amplifier and State Street. Ashley holds a Master’s in Finance from the University of the Western Cape and a Master’s in Economics from Fordham University in New York.

Jessica Maphosa is a Quality Assurance Officer in a Food Packaging Company. She specialises in ensuring that the food products meet the highest standards of safety and quality, by implementing, maintaining and improving the Food Safety Management Systems. Her educational background includes a National Diploma in Food Technology from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She is dedicated in contributing in the minimisation of product recalls by ensuring food safety and strive to continuously improve her knowledge and skills in the field. Throughout her career in the food industry, she has developed essentials skills through completing short courses relevant for advancement and climbing the corporate ladder.

Teboho Phaphama Dyasi, born and raised in Swaneville, Gauteng, is a first-year student pursuing a Diploma in Mathematical Sciences at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Despite facing setbacks in previous academic pursuits, he aspires to earn a doctorate in mathematics and ultimately become a lecturer. A Kutlwanong Promaths alumnus from Dobsonville Centre, Teboho is driven by a passion for mathematics and education. Away from academics, he is an artist, mentor, and tutor, roles that reflect his multifaceted talents and commitment to personal growth.

Dr. Remous Ocloo is a Medical Scientist with a keen interest in understanding the roles genetic markers play in antibiotic resistance to help answer some questions related to antibiotic resistance in Africa. His current research towards his PhD at Stellenbosch University has led to the identification of new species in Africa and several novel strains of staphylococcal species. Dr. Remous Ocloo is also passionate about computational biology, an approach which gives insights into complex diseases for a better public health outcome. He is also a fitness enthusiast and an advocate for a healthy lifestyle

Giovanni Cloete, a seasoned legal professional, boasts a diverse background spanning corporate and commercial, oil and gas, energy, construction, transport, and compliance sectors. Armed with an LLB from the University of the Western Cape and certifications from prestigious institutions like the University of Cape Town and the DLA Piper Academy, Giovanni has refined his expertise in regulatory compliance and contract law. Throughout his career, he has excelled in various legal aspects, including oil and gas permit applications, due diligence investigations, legal opinions, and corporate agreement drafting. Notably, Giovanni plays a crucial role in advising non-profit organizations on registration processes and guiding non-profit companies through registration requirements with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission.
