    Send us a Text Message.

My next guest is a walking embodiment of triumph through pain. He exemplifies how it’s by playing life hard and doing things that suck we can get that sweet payoff.

He now not only shares his story as part of newsbreaking takedowns of our most notorious terrorists but also the devastating toll this lifestyle had on his physical and mental health.

Join us this week as we learn how Dave found hope and healing through the darkness and what advice he offers others to come out okay on the other side.

Dave Fielding is a U.S. Army Green Beret turned spy. He has worked for every US intelligence agency, relentlessly pursuing threats to national security.

He is also an Eagle Scout, avid CrossFit athlete, ultramarathon runner, and Norwich University Military College of Vermont graduate.

A lifetime pursuer of hard things, he grew up as a blue-collar kid north of Boston. He is a Bronze Star recipient, Operation Inherent Resolve, and Operation Enduring Freedom veteran.

In his book “Into The Darkness: A Journey of Love, War, and Emotional Freedom” he takes the reader on a gripping journey through his battle with suicide.

In his fight every day for healing, he unlocks hyper self-awareness by asking “why” and finds peace with his demons by “owning his shit.”

    Jun 19 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

What happens when tragedy and loss repeatedly impact you, but you suppress it all? How do you work past this pain and live the best life possible? Believe it or not, there are ways to move through it and embrace a rewarding future.

Daniel has seen it all as a police officer in and out of the military. Through his personal experiences coping with the loss of loved ones, rescuing his daughter from abuse, and working in the criminal justice system connecting families with their abusers, he now shares his story to help others understand how they can help themselves and move forward through life’s most significant challenges.

Daniel Torrez is a Deputy Director of the National Center for Victims of Crime. Before this, while with the Department of Corrections, he helped establish Arizona's first Victim Offender Dialogue (VOD) program. The VOD program brings violent crime survivors face-to-face with the offender of their crime.

Daniel conducted several dialogues, experiencing firsthand the healing effect on all participants. Daniel served 21 years as a military police officer in the US Army and participated in humanitarian/disaster relief, United Nations Peacekeeping, and combat operations. He served as a patrol supervisor, victims advocate, SRT (SWAT) member, non-lethal weapons instructor, master trainer, and member of the 3rd US Infantry, The Old Guard.

Daniel has also served as a federal law enforcement officer and university director of public safety. He holds a master’s degree from Webster University, a bachelor’s degree, and certified public manager designation from Arizona State University.

He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his lovely wife, Melissa, their cat Sadie, and their dog Ares (the Dog of War).

Daniel’s story, along with 28 other authors, will be highlighted in the upcoming book, Wounds to Wisdom: Healing Through Veteran and First Responder Narratives, available in August.

  • I coach business owners | Collin Meeves - S.O.S. podcast #139
    May 26 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

Usually, I do not see young men in the coaching space who can connect so deeply to their emotions and the struggles we all face in life.

So when I became inspired reading Collin’s content on Instagram and how he helps business owners, I knew he would be a perfect guest for S.O.S. Join me as I discover why he became a coach, how he inspires others, and what he can offer you, too.

Collin has been a coach in different capacities for 15+ years. After graduating high school in 2009, he started coaching baseball at his High School. Along the way, he was introduced to CrossFit in 2011. During this time, he decided to pursue his degree in Strength and Conditioning and started coaching CrossFit.

As Collin grew in coaching Health and Fitness, he was introduced to the Personal Development and Self-Help space. He began to "do the work" himself. Not only did he see the benefit personally, but the desire to help others do the same grew inside him.

In 2020, after a culmination of personal experiences, he decided to change from coaching CrossFit to starting his own coaching business. Since then, he has grown as a business owner and coach. He helps business owners double their productivity so they can work less than 25 hours/week and have more time for themselves and their families.

Collin lives in Southern California with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he loves spending time at the beach and coaching CrossFit.
