Today we take a break from our series in John for a Pentacost message from Acts 1:8 by Pastor Dooba. Pentacost today is the celebration of the receiving of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was given so that we can be a witness for Jesus. Evangelism without the Holy Spirit is unBiblical and prideful. The Holy Spirit can use the best and highest dollar evangelism programs that we have to offer, or the honest unfiltered words of a five year old stating the obvious: Salvation is the work of God inside someone's heart, and the role of the Holy Spirit in this cannot be overemphasized.

Pastor Dooba continues our series in the Gospel of John called "That You May Believe" with John 5:1-16. A man with a severe disability has waited his entire life at a mystic pool for healing. His healing ultimately came, not from the pool, but from Jesus, who visited him in the midst of his affliction and asked a simple question: "Do you want to be healed?" What about you, listener? Are you more comfortable in your afflictions than the thought of being set free? Or are you willing to take the potentially uncomfortable first steps of faith toward freedom?
