• 2024-06-16 - Jesus, the Bread of Life
    Jun 16 2024

Pastor Dooba continues our series in the Gospel of John called "That You May Believe" with John 6:41-59. Everyone likes free food, and Jesus freely offers the Bread of Life, which we eat by spending time with Him and obeying His commands. Food is essential to life. We make plans around making, getting, and eating food and we notice if we spend a day without eating. Jesus is the life. Do we notice if we spend a day without Him? Taste of the Lord today and see that He is good.

Pastor Carl continues our series in the Gospel of John called "That You May Believe" with John 6:22-40. This passage from God's Word reveals the confusion of the people as to who Jesus really was. It also reveals the answers to that confusion.

  • 2024-06-02 - Jesus, Strong and Kind
    Jun 2 2024

Pastor Dooba continues our series in the Gospel of John called "That You May Believe" with John 6:1-21.

Verses 1 through 14 recount Jesus' feeding of the 5,000. In this one miracle, Jesus displays His mastery over the phyiscal realm and demonstrates the kindness He has for those who seek him.

Verses 15 through 21 tell of when Jesus walked on the water of the Sea of Galilee. Sometimes we encounter hard times in the process of doing what God has sent us to do, but Jesus is powerful enough to save and never too far off to help us.

Both of these stories show us that we should persevere and be generous with our time and what we have, even if we alone are not enough to meet the whole need we see. If we are doing His will, Jesus Himself will provide the rest.

    May 26 2024

Pastor Dooba continues our series in the Gospel of John called "That You May Believe" with John 5:30-47. Jesus made multiple claims about His authority in the previous passage and in this passage presents support for those claims. Are there areas in your life that you are not submitting to the authority of Jesus and His word? What parts of your life would change if you did?

  • 2024-05-19 - Evangelism with the Holy Spirit
    May 19 2024

Today we take a break from our series in John for a Pentacost message from Acts 1:8 by Pastor Dooba. Pentacost today is the celebration of the receiving of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was given so that we can be a witness for Jesus. Evangelism without the Holy Spirit is unBiblical and prideful. The Holy Spirit can use the best and highest dollar evangelism programs that we have to offer, or the honest unfiltered words of a five year old stating the obvious: Salvation is the work of God inside someone's heart, and the role of the Holy Spirit in this cannot be overemphasized.

  • 2024-05-05 - The Man at the Pool
    May 5 2024

Pastor Dooba continues our series in the Gospel of John called "That You May Believe" with John 5:1-16. A man with a severe disability has waited his entire life at a mystic pool for healing. His healing ultimately came, not from the pool, but from Jesus, who visited him in the midst of his affliction and asked a simple question: "Do you want to be healed?" What about you, listener? Are you more comfortable in your afflictions than the thought of being set free? Or are you willing to take the potentially uncomfortable first steps of faith toward freedom?

  • 2024-04-28 - Belief Vs. Belief
    Apr 28 2024

Pastor Les continues our series in the Gospel of John called "That You May Believe" with John 4:43-54. From Galilee, Jesus heals the son of a royal official in Capernaum. Pastor Les uses this miracle to demonstrate the difference between "belief" as an unconditional trust in Jesus and "belief" as a simple conditioned response to reward (such as miracles). Which do you love: the miracle or the miracle-worker?
