And today we’re looking at the ways in which our Royal Air Force is Diverse and Inclusive, and we’ll discover the new opportunities available to Royal Air Force personnel.  We examine the ways that the air force supports individuals, and the incredible range of investment and opportunity available to every member of the Royal Air Force.

In this opening instalment we examine the roles that women play within the RAF and the opportunities available to female recruits. We hear accounts from parents on what it’s like to raise a family whilst serving your country, and we hear about the support that is offered to women in the RAF. We also speak with our special guest Air Commodore (now Air Vice Marshall) Suraya Marshall about her ground-breaking career, becoming the first woman to command one of the RAF's two operational groups.
