• The Warrior Journals | Episode 12 | Victoria Humphries
    Jan 31 2021

In this episode I talk to Victoria Humphries, who is a self stated "Ordinary Woman". Well she is a Polar Adventurer, 3 times Guinness World Record Holder, Climber, Marathon Runner, Author,  and Businesswoman.

    Maybe "Ordinary" has many levels!

The Warrior Journals with Anna Anderson.

Hitting a low point in her life, after ticking all the boxes of what she "should" do to be a success in the traditional way, Anna heard a faint but insistent inner voice counselling her that there was a better way, and that she had so much more to offer the world.

Turned out that voice was telling the Truth, and Anna has now turned her life around and is now a female empowerment coach, being a guiding light for woman, and helping them avoid the pitfalls she encountered along the way.

She passionately believes that "The darkness is where the light comes in", and heady that that statement may be her message is grounded, practical, down to earth, not to mention vibrant and fun!

In this podcast, you will hear stories of incredible turnarounds, negatives turned into incredible positives, and of course Anna's wisdom and coaching expertise shining through.

  • The Warrior Journals | Episode 10 | Spencer Bull
    Dec 19 2020

Spencer Bull was an army infantry officer until he was discharged with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. What he thought was a trapped nerve, was something much worse; he is now wheelchair bound.

With the same fierce spirit that serves him on the frontlines for all those years, he now participates in events with Help for Heroes, and takes his most profound life lessons to a new generation.

“There’s much uncertainty but I do what I can do to face my challenges. Thanks to Help for Heroes fundraisers, I’m still able to be active – which is so important to me. I know if I need help I can get hold of someone immediately, and my wife is also supported by the Band of Sisters. All of the staff are not just professionals, they’re friends as well"

“I want to thank all supporters, and ask that you please keep raising awareness and funds. While operations in Iraq and Afghanistan may have finished, we still have many who are injured and sick, and as all get older, they will continue to need support. Please be there for the young amputee when he reaches his fifties, struggles on his prosthetics, and needs your help.”

  • The Warrior Journals | Episode 9 | Martin Pemberton
    Dec 19 2020

In this episode, we talk to Martin - a famous footballer, who suffered a deep depression, and now is back well and truly. He felt he had no purpose after leaving pro football. This thankfully turned out not to be true. He also overcame the fear that "lad culture" would mock him for speaking out about mental health.

He developed an 11 step programme that helps people with depression and fuels new goals in life from the website:

Self reliance is the ability to depend on yourself to get things done and to meet your own needs.

Self management is the management of or by oneself. It is the taking of responsibility for one's own behaviour and well-being.

The combination of both of these leads to Self Transformation.
