I love Eric Nolan’s voice a little too much.

I have a bit of an Ali Hazelwood obsession anyway, so of course I loved this book! First of all, idk what it is about those Scottish type accents, but I find them hot as hell. So this book having Hark as the MMC and Eric Nolan voicing him was PERFECT. We got a cameo from Scarlet and Erik from Deep End. And since this book is connected to Not In Love we got to see Rue and Eli’s wedding. Ali Hazelwood always writes FMCs I find a little too relatable, this book was no different. All in all it was a super fun book that was really hard to stop listening to.

Hazelwood at her best!

Fun, engaging story. I loved the present/past structure. The female narrator was wonderful. The male was poor audio quality and he seemed to loose the correct voices/accents. Would still recommend.

Amazing Female Narrator

I was blown away by the female narrator! I immediately went to see what other books she has done, and I was shocked that there’s only one other under her name. I hope she gets a lot more work after this book.

It was a slow build -up , but worth the wait, excellent ending, fairly witty throughout

The young lead girl was annoyingly high maintenance at times. A chatterbox I had trouble believing could hold an older man’s interest for so long. But the author managed to bring it all together.

By far favorite Ali book

Phenomenal, as usual.

New narrative and character development style than her previous books, but still so well written (and read!). Only “complaint” is that it isn’t infinitely long. ☺︎

So sweet

I think this there is not book she can write that I would hate. I adored this book. It was so sweet and it made me feel like I was in Italy.

Great Story

It took a little while, but the main female character grew on me.
By the end I was in love with both of the main characters and wanted more of their story.
It was an adjustment from Therese Plummer to this female narrator, but I think it was ncessary for Maya's character and she did a good job.
As for the male narrator, I am use to hearing him on a whole different genre, so it was an adjustment, but not bad either. Glad it was dual narration.

Favorite contemporary author

Can’t wait for her next book. They are all so amazing!!Great read, not enough good things to say about.
