A love story above all

I thought about Sally Ride while listening to this and what she must have gone through. Really interesting story

She's done it again

Taylor Reid Jenkins never disappoints. She is a master at creating characters that the reader can connect with and grow to love by the end of the novel. 5 stars

An emotional roller coaster

This book… it killed me, blew my mind, broke my heart, repaired it, made me laugh, cry, get angry all at once. I would give it so many more stars of were able to do so here.
The story covers difficult topics and deals with homophobia and archaic beliefs and rules of the past. It is edge of your seat, intriguing and enveloping. The main characters are so easy to love and a side character just as easy to be appealed and disgusted by.
This book is one I will listen to again. The narration is excellent. Julia Wheelan is one of my favorite narrators and does a stellar job.

TJR does Space!

It was sweet story with so many interesting characters and settings at NASA or the space stations. It was a great listen.

This is a perfect book

Taylor Jenkins Reid is my favorite author. I have read all of her books and this one is hands down was my favorite book of hers and of the year so far . It’s beautiful and funny and sweet and the details of this story just come alive as if you were right there . I can’t recommend this book without giving it 10 stars!!

This book gets ALL.THE.STARS!!!
I was waiting into the wee hours for my preorder to release. I listened to Atmosphere in one day, with my eyes leaking the entire time. The layers of this story are 🤌. I was on edge trying to find out what would happen to the astronauts, facing unexpected tragedy in space. I was drawn in by the struggles of these women trying to represent as the best of the best under circumstances stacked against them across the board. The smartest women in the world always know that they rank among the most middling of men in many/most spaces. This story showed how hard women had to work to be accepted as astronauts and serve as examples for the hopes and dreams of every woman to come after them. The stakes were existential for the first female astronauts. On top of that, we have female protagonists who also want to live their lives on their own terms, loving who they love, being able to experience the same things everyone else takes for granted. And we had our central character, an astronomer in love with the cosmos who also wanted to do right by her niece, who drew the short straw having her narcissist sister as a single parent.
I could not have rooted for these characters more. And I could not have loved this story more than I did.

Riveting and stunning storytelling

I loved every second of this book. Beautiful storytelling. The narration from Julia Whalen is always phenomenal. Such a heart warming and heart breaking story all at the same time.

I am done for. Nothing will ever compare to this book. This is a TEN star book! This is my new favorite TJR and right up there with my top books of all time!
