A dangerous alliance between a Vampyre bride and an Alpha Werewolf becomes a love deep enough to sink your teeth into in this new paranormal romance from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Love, Theoretically and The Love Hypothesis.

Misery Lark, the only daughter of the most powerful Vampyre councilman of the Southwest, is an outcast—again. Her days of living in anonymity among the Humans are over: she has been called upon to uphold a historic peacekeeping alliance between the Vampyres and their mortal enemies, the Weres, and she sees little choice but to surrender herself in the exchange—again...

Weres are ruthless and unpredictable, and their Alpha, Lowe Moreland, is no exception. He rules his pack with absolute authority, but not without justice. And, unlike the Vampyre Council, not without feeling. It’s clear from the way he tracks Misery’s every movement that he doesn’t trust her. If only he knew how right he was….

Because Misery has her own reasons to agree to this marriage of convenience, reasons that have nothing to do with politics or alliances, and everything to do with the only thing she's ever cared about. And she is willing to do whatever it takes to get back what’s hers, even if it means a life alone in Were territory…alone with the wolf.

Loved everything about it. A great re-imagining of a world with ware wolves and vampires. The plot was weirdly believable and I loved the characters. Although the characters took a while to hook up, romantically the other species-ness made it really hot. I didn’t think I could like Ali Hazelwood’s work more, but she outdid herself.

Love story with a cool twist

OMG, I am obsessed. I loved this book. I want more. I NEED more! More Lowe, more Misery, more of Lowe AND Misery. I want Serena's story. Why is this book so short? Absolutely amazing. 10/10. The book is perfect and the audiobook was also amazingly good. 10/10 for the audio as well.

I haven’t read a Ali Hazelwood book i didn’t like. And still haven’t! All the haters can hate but this was a great story! And the voice actors were great. The female voice was just the right amount of snarky for our Misery.

Another banger

I absolutely loved the first couple of hours of this audiobook. The ONLY issue I had was the last two hours were so rushed to finish the story. I feel the story had more but the book was ending and the story promptly ended fast. I felt there were some loose ends that didn’t make sense and a few more chapters would have provided more depth. I would recommend this audiobook to others and I throughly enjoyed it.

The ending was fast…
