Good information but hard to follow sometimes

The information in this book was very interesting and useful, but It was a struggle to follow many of the passages. The content was clearly intended to be read. I had to replay some sections to try to understand where a topic began and ended.

Meh...

I did not enjoy this book. The concepts on paper are nice and assumedly well thought out, but everything was executed so poorly. Everything just felt like rambling rather than trying to properly piece things together for the reader/listener. This is better off as a documented guideline rather than a book.

A new perspective

Absolutely fantastic book about communication that enables you to see words in a completely different way. It's structured in a simple but also quite understandable way and helps you achieve a level of vision on communication and how to use the exact words that you need to achieve your goals.

Very valuable new skill

I saw my type and the types of the people around me in Shelle’s examples of type and contexts. Some information was a bit much to take in while driving, but I’ll go back and consult the printed material.

Golden opportunity to achieve fast results

I purchased this book to learn how to personalize my message and persuade my audience to listen to my knowledge.

As a woman I’ve never received the respect or the audience when speaking

I am excited to learn more from Shelle. I’m at at chapter 4 in my first few hours of purchase and i have a feeling I’ll be listening to this book again and again.

Worst Book I've listened to maybe ever

I don't use this word lightly, but I hated this book on audio. it might be OK qhysically reading it, but would NOT recommend listening to it. it is like listening to a textbook being read out loud.

waste of valuable time and money

I value my time dearly, and I do my best to read books that suck all the way through but this was so confusing and so scattered and NOT sequential or organized I could not read anymore. I gave it close to 2 and half hours then had to discard it. it sounds like a in bittered feminist equivocating.

Loved the concept.

The content is deep and worth more than a listen in the car. Get the book, or at least download the PDF BEFORE you start! The author references these notes throughout the book. I wish there was a way to know when a title will demand more of our focus than just listening. Definitely will need to listen again, read, and take more notes.

Hard work

There is probably some really useful information in this book, but it’s hard work and needs full concentration 100% of the time.

Lots of jargon that continues throughout. Unless you have loads of spare time read another.

The beginning and end felt more like a sell a further well anything.

Have read and enjoyed other books re influence, ie Phil Hesketh more entertaining and an easier listen

Many key phrases of interest

This book started very well, with many inspirational key phrases of personal developmental connotation that will help in my paradigm to come.

It kept me engaged & away from my Amazon shopping addiction for a few hours, so it saved me money!

As per usual the narrator does my nut due to emotional tonality, but I've heard worse!

There are references to other authors of interest.

Boring

Just plain dull. The title is misleading, it is not about words that change minds, but rather about people behavior and psychologies. Plus, the narator's voice is annoying!

Informative but tricky as an Audiobook

I live on audible, so I buy all books as audio versions. This one may be best read as a paper copy though. It’s tricky to follow its narrative in the audio version as the content (which sound mostly like bullet points and lists of tables) is not suited for this media and has not been adapted for it - there may be an idea :). The content, however, even in the audio version, is incredibly informative.

Great book

This is a great book no doubt and I enjoyed the amazing narration skills employed. I was surprised when and how it ended though.

Loved it so much I brought the Kindle version too!

Shelle has a great way of explaining each of the concepts and gives clear demonstrations on how they may look in everyday situations. Plenty of different examples given for each profile. Love the extra resources too..
