Publisher's summary

The time has come for Leman Russ, primarch of the Space Wolves, to fulfil his vow and attempt to stop Warmaster Horus before he breaks through to the Segmentum Solar.

In the face of opposition from three of his brother primarchs, Russ withdraws the Space Wolves legion from Terra and makes all haste for Horus’ position. Reports from Malcador the Sigillite’s agents suggest that Horus is utterly changed and infused with a diabolical power so great that no man can stand against him. A warrior of Fenris would never willingly abandon his oaths, but with Horus beyond the touch of mortal blades, the Lord of Winter and War may have doomed himself for the sake of honour....

Fenris Hjolda!!!

The story is great. Russ is an amazing character and this book gives a deeper look into Russ, Horus and their relationship with the Emperor. I really enjoyed it and would suggest it for any Space Wolf fan.

Fantastic Book

Answers a lot of questions about what the Space Wolves we’re doing leading up to the battle for Terra. It presents a nice middle ground that fans of both the Luna and Space Wolves would like for their legions.

Awesome!! The Wolves are crazy!

Great story! One of my favorite Heresy books yet! Introducing Adept Cawl also and any wound to Horus is a good one!

good story narration iffy at times

Love Johnathan Keebles narrations but some characters (the divided) were hard to listen to.

Legiones Astartes - Vlka Fenryka at its best

This book covers all of the great aspects of the Vlka Fenryka along with it's Primarch. Covering all aspect that I personally love of Warhammer; Psykers, Space Marines and their tactics/brotherhood, as well as Primarchs vs Primarchs. Listen to this book and enjoy!

Stunned

Prior to this book I had deceloped a growing distaste for the Space Wolves. The Vilka Fenrika certainly changed that during this book. This book will not disappoint and as always the narration by Keeble is some of the best around.

I like this. More!

Let’s get the obvious out of the way - Jonathan Keeble is a phenomenal narrator. He is the voice of the Heresy to me. He absolutely nails it here.

Now the less obvious, but still very obvious - Guy Haley does good work. This is a teaser of a novel that gives you a lot but leaves you wanting more details. Frankly I would have traded some of “Belisarius Cawl: The Early Years” for more Leeman Russ, but Cawls parts were pretty hilarious, despite feeling like Dark Imperium shoehorning. Looking back, I’m actually surprised by how little of the Route there is. There’s a lot of Mechanicum, tons of Russ, significant amounts of Bjorn, not so much the rest of the Route until we get to the climax. It’s not bad, I just wish there had been another hour or so of content to bring this one in line with the series average time-wise.

Highly recommend! Get ready to laugh and cry.

Great from start to finish

Great from start to finish. Hard to turn this one off. One of the best representations of a primarch yet.

The End is Nigh!!

Great addition to the Heresy novels. Performance was awesome as each character sounded quite distinct. The story was solid and the reasoning behind Russ' character was true to form. Awesome audio book!
