The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

From that point on, it was all over for me - I knew we were meant to be. The issue is that he doesn’t…quite seem to realize that. Publisher's Summary
Join the fun in this soapy serial as Will & Patrick's fake marriage turns into true love! Written by best-selling author Leta Blake and newcomer Alice Griffiths!
Episode One: "Will and Patrick Wake Up Married"
After a drunken night of hot sex in Vegas, strangers Will Patterson and Dr. Patrick McCloud wake up married. A quickie divorce is the most obvious way out — unless you’re the heir of a staunchly Catholic mafia boss with a draconian position on the sanctity of marriage. Throw their simmering attraction into the mix and all bets are off!
Episode Two: "Will and Patrick Meet the Family"
Meeting the family is challenging for every new couple. But for Will and Patrick, the awkward family moments only grow more hilarious - and painful - when they must hide the truth of their predicament from the people they care about most. Throw in the sexual tension flaring between them and you've got a recipe for madcap laughs and surprisingly heartwarming feels.
Episode Three: "Will and Patrick Do the Holidays"
A couple’s first holiday season is always a special time. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve are magical when you’re in love. Too bad Will and Patrick’s marriage is a sham and they’re only faking their affection for each other. Or are they? Sparks fly in this episode of the Wake Up Married serial. Will the sexual tension between Will and Patrick finally explode in a needy night of passion? Or will they continue to deny their feelings?
Episode Four: "Will and Patrick Fight Their Feelings"
Will and Patrick have embraced adding hot sexy-times to their fake marriage, but as their emotions deepen, they confront whether or not they want to be more than friends-with-benefits. The heat is high (and occasionally kinky) as Will and Patrick struggle to accept their mutual affection.
Episode Five: "Will and Patrick Meet the Mob"
Patrick has finally accepted that he's in love with Will, but his newfound determination to do something about that runs up against his father-in-law's mobster plans. Will must face the truth about his family before he can fully come to terms with his feelings for Patrick. And Patrick has to decide if this whackadoodle world is something he truly wants to be part of forever.
Episode Six: "Will and Patrick's Happy Ending"
Sure, Will and Patrick are in love now, but they weren’t when they got married in Vegas. For Patrick, that’s no problem, but Will can’t shake his doubts that a relationship started through coercion can ever become the real deal. Since the Molinaro crime family has reversed their position on divorce, Will and Patrick have a chance to rectify their drunken mistake. But is divorce the right choice for them?

Thoroughly enjoyable, quirky characters
I loved this story! It was a great long listen as the 6 episodes made up a 25 hour love story. My favorite part was the detail in the real and flawed heroes. They addressed chronic medical condition, addiction, family dysfunction, behavioral quirks, childhood trauma while being fundamentally good and ultimately loving men. I'm a fan of the married as strangers plot line, but have mostly found those in heterosexual, historic romances. This was a fabulous modern take.

Eh!
Kind of sorry I spent the $20.00 on this book (s).
Dear lord it's slow and boring, really boring. The summary is wrong, so so wrong, It's not fun. It's angsty very mush so. Will, one of the main characters, is clueless as to the emotional abuse he sustained at the hands of his ex boyfriend. I don't mind Patrick, the other main character he tells you exactly what is going on and how he feels.
If I could get back my money I would, $20.00, is a lot. Oh, well I may finish listening to one day, but that day is not today.

Love this series
Will and Patrick are fully formed human beings with a great relationship and story. The premise sounds like a Romantic Comedy, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn this is actually far more dramatic and romantic than comedic.

Ryan was such a vile worm. The way ge inserted himself when not needed and his passive aggression with Patrick was disgusting..He nonstop shamed and belittled Patrick, because he(Ryan) was the one lacking- greatly. It burned me up that he had so many people fooled. I was so frustrated with these two. If they could be open and brave they'd have saved so much time and heartache. I was glad even though their brains were cray cray they kept the hot intimate times going strong until their minds caught up with their hearts. Missy made me furious. She was a willing victim of money and keeping Patrick from savings patient's lives. Unconscionable. The last third of this book speared my heart. Great resolution. The narrator made each character unique and breathed life into to story. I highly recommend this set.

A pleasant surprise.
I am absolutely in love with this series. Despite the title, which would lead some to think it’s a light-hearted funny rom-com, the series is actually well developed and touches a variety of deeper subjects (from addiction, to abuse, from illness to dysfunctional family relationships).
The story is plenty funny, too; Will and Patrick bantering and Patrick’s snark are their own kind of awesome!
Some side characters are so nasty and lacking any redeeming quality that I just wanted to scream…
I loved what John Solo did with the characters, very well done!

Enjoyable MM serial
I quite enjoyed this MM serial. It was different to listen to a long book that isn't a slow burn. There was laughter and sorrow, great and horrible side characters, foster and mafia families, and past traumas that needed working through, and all mixed in with getting to know the spouses within a marriage of convenience. This book had pretty much I love in it. And the narration, even though written in 3rd person, was great.

Who Needs Enemies
There were times when I got so frustrated at this book. Will's friends and family seem to be the ones pushing him over the edge or causing him to doubt his own feelings. They both grow during their marriage but to watch the changes in Patrick was great. I was so relieved when feelings were revealed only to have more craziness. It was great to finally have a good ending.
I listened to the audio version which was well done.

All the feelings!!! I loved Will & Patrick!

All the feelings!!! I loved Will & Patrick!
Episode 1: Will & Patrick Wake Up Married
A great start and a funny take on a vegas wedding. I liked the backward way about this series in that they get married and then have to fake being ‘really’ married. It makes for some hilarious moments and surprising twists. I really loved the way these characters were introduced and fell for both Will and Patrick from the get-go!
Episode 2: Will & Patrick Meet the Family
A funny take on meet the parents with some fantastic characters thrown in; I love Will’s Grandma and ‘original housemate’. While Will’s mother frustrated me to no end, I really hope she improves and Will can finally stand up for himself. I really enjoyed the simmering tension and chemistry brewing between Will and Patrick and I can’t wait for it to explode!!
Episode 3: Will & Patrick Do the Holidays
Finally, the sexual tension explodes and lights the pages on fire!!
I felt for Will and Patrick throughout the holidays, as Patrick faces feelings he never felt before, and WIll faces his d*#k-headed ex who just keeps on causing/abusing Will at every turn. I hope Will can finally move past all this and find something better with someone he’s married too. P.s. I also loved the approach to Patrick’s ASD spectrum; it’s well done, addressed and respectful on the spectrum!
Episode Four: Will & Patrick Fight Their Feelings
I was surprised how deep and dynamic the pair became and as their relationship adds some serious heat, emotions become entangled and they both face some new challenges. I loved Patrick’s character development over these last few episodes and seeing him fall in love for the first time was wonderful. I enjoyed learning so much more about him and his past, my heart broke.
Episode Five: Will & Patrick Meet the Mob
They meet the Mob with a bang, some serious stress, and a dangerous decline for Will. The Mob elements were hard to fathom throughout this with Will being who he is. His father was better than expected and thankfully Patrick didn’t take any crap from such a dangerous man. All in all, I was thankful for Will finally standing up to his mother as she definitely needed a what for and it couldn’t come soon enough. I was saddened by her attitude and interference and overall opinion of Will. She didn’t even try to know him. He is more than his disease and addiction!
Episode Six: Will & Patrick’s Happy Ending
Oh, my heart! A powerful, sad but wonderful ending to such great characters! I really enjoyed the journey and while I hated the ‘separation’ I understood. I loved Patrick’s countdown and his need to help Will however he can. With a devastating loss for one of his patients, we were able to finally meet Patrick’s family and thankfully Will and Patrick were able to face, acknowledge and accept their feelings and start/continue their unique connection and relationship. A wonderful HEA and there is just so much more to these two than meets the eye!!!
Fantastic narration for such wonderful characters! I loved it all!!!
Thanks for reading!

Even better on audio!
So I had already read and loved this series, but my rating just went up with the audio. John Solo does such a fantastic job at bringing these characters and their love to light that their story is just that much more amazing. With the audio you can feel the hurt, the laughter, and all the love. It’s one of those stories I’ll be returning to over and over again.

John Solo is such a perfect Patrick...
Great narration from John Solo on this audio, almost perfect I would say 🤯. Did originally have this as a Patreon perk from Leta but swapping tablets has meant that that gift seems to have disappeared 😒 so used a credit. No hardship anyhoo, such a funny series of stories.

you won't regret it
I read this first in kindle then found when first trying audible. fantastic and have just finished it again. a go too story to make laugh and cry. I identify with both Patrick and Will and often choose books narrated by John Solo as a result of this work.

Absolutely loved this!
Hot and heavy with lots of humor and perfect amount of romance and drama. It starts slow and sweet but the characters are super lovable

The times of their married live.
This is is nice book, it feels like a soap and the narration brings that even more to the forefront. Patrick is so much fun and sweet with a heart of gold and Will is a sweety as well.

Fun read.
Very enjoyable read, humour is good, story rollicked along. Engaging characters. Well read. Would certainly recommend this.
