SO GOOD OMG

finished the thirds series and had to get this too !! BOY the drama 😭 I had to take SO.MANY breaks while listening to this because it was so stressful 😦 there was a typo in the last book I noticed, a line said "Leo narrowd HER eyes" instead of his but that's all. the performance was AWESOME I loved the emotion and voices !! each book was action packed and so well written. I truly loved the experience of them 🫶 NOW to the characters 🙏 my favorite couple is probably Mason and Lucky -> Ace and Colton -> Red and Laz -> King and Leo (i love them dont get me wrong, just not as much as the others). I was surprised by this order myself because I didn't expect to like Mason but I LOVED him and Lucky. Masons backstory KILLED ME 😭😭 Ace and Colton are so cute and Ace is probably my favorite character as a whole !! Reds ptsd and him and Laz workijg things out was so wholesome, Leo is adorable and im glad he was so feirce in that stressful situation ! The brotherhood of all the kings UGH 😣😣 I adore them. anyways, I think I'm done so I'm off to listen to the wild card series 🫡

Bad-ass gay boys with hearts of gold

I loved these books. The characters are dynamic, unique and beautifully realized so that you see each one in their fully realized personality sharing a marvelous world where sexuality is a given and love always triumphs. What else do you need? Narrator rocks!

Addicting

Loved this set! Funny and full of action. All the characters are great but Ace and King had the best stories. I'm so glad the author did another set to capture the rest of the guys because this was such a fun listen.

The Kings loyalty

This series had my attention from the very first book to the last. I can't wait to read the wildcard series next.

So satisfying!

It's always great to get an entire series for one credit, isn't it? Sometimes I wonder if it's because the series is perhaps not up to the quality to have a single book go for a credit. Wow, is that ever not the case here! Each of the four books in the series is uniquely wonderful, and each builds on the last. Book series that introduce characters who reappear in future books are a common thing these days. But usually the appearances in future books amount to cameos or at best a brief pass-through to let you know the couple is still in love and doing well. Not so in this series. All of the Kings are important in all of the books, and by the final book, I felt a deep affection for each one. Each character has their own distinct personality, and that's not common in the age of tropes. As I was looking through Goodreads reviews, I noticed that the final book had a remarkably high rating of 4.40 and wondered if it would live up to the hype. It absolutely did. King was the character who was aloof, responsible, admired, respected, but never able to relax into the easy camaraderie that the other "brothers" shared. It was so lovely and satisfying to see him finally be fleshed out as the intricate, flawed and wonderful character that he is, and to meet his perfect person in Leo, who is equally complex and ballsy in his nerdy way. I didn't expect to feel so sad that the series was over. I'll enjoy re-reading and revisiting these friends.
