Loved it!

WOW, the narrators were phenomenal! I absolutely loved the tension, banter & off the charts chemistry between Luke & Melanie.

Fantastic second chance romance!

The sparks are flying in Whispers and Wildfire, book four in the Haven Brothers series and oh my gosh, this second chance romance story definitely didn’t disappoint! Luke has been a bit of a mystery since we met him back in the Bailey Brothers series and I was so excited to finally have his story! He and Melanie had something special years earlier but they were young and mistakes and misunderstandings broke their bond, but now Melanie is back in Tilikum and it seems the one person who hurt her in New York years earlier has found her again and brought danger and havoc to the small town. One of the best parts of this small town romance is how all the towns people come together when one of their own is in danger.
I easily fell for both Luke and Melanie and thoroughly enjoyed their journey even with all its ups and downs they proved that true love can prevail!
I also had the added benefit of listening to the audio version of this story and the narrators did an amazing job that absolutely added to my enjoyment of this book!

Loved this one

This is my new favorite of the series! I loved the characters, I loved the story, and the narration was top tier. I loved that there was a separate narrator for the bad guy too! I couldn’t put this down and can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Oh Luke…sigh. You were worth the wait! Not just for us readers…but for Melanie as well!

When pickle-lovin’, voice actor Melanie Andolini has a nasty divorce and has to return to her hometown to “escape”, she has quite the run-in with her ex boyfriend, Luke Haven…almost literally. But Luke cannot get over his years-long crush on his ex.

When Luke and Melanie both need something, they need to put their tension aside for a bit to work together, but Melanie has some secrets that have followed her to Tilikum.

This storyline flows so well! Then, throw in some Haven’s, the SPS, and some (ah-hem) tension…and BAM! You have another incredible Romance suspense by author Claire Kingsley.

Luke + Melanie = wildfire.

This was narrated by Erin Mallon, Marcio Catalano, and Robert Hachet..and so incredibly narrated at that! I love the extra character narration for the bad guy, and this was the first time I had listened to Marcio as a character and he was fantastic as Luke!

A+ masterpiece

What can I even say about this absolute masterpiece by Claire Kingsley? It’s another winner of course and in the Haven series it’s just a great story, another glimpse into this family that we love! As always, the perfect mix of suspense, laughs and spice! Absolutely thrilled to get to Luke’s story and see him get his HEA. Loved these narrators and how well they brought these characters to life

I need an emotional support pickle

I won’t lie, I listened to some parts twice because the Actors did such an amazing job! They really brought the book to life.

Wow! What can I say other than wow?! This book was just such a roller coaster of suspense, hilarity, love, pain, laughter and everything. Not to mention the terrifying inner dialogue of one particular character. I cannot say enough to say how amazing this book was. As far as second chances go this one is probably one of the best if not the best.

Luke and Melanie are so ridiculously cute and adorable. They know each other strengths, and weaknesses, as well as learning from, and acknowledging their past mistakes. We see how they reacted as teenagers in certain situations and the small tweaks of their reactions now as adults. Granted some of them are very small tweaks, but they learned how to work through them this time.

I love getting to see a little more of both the Haven’s and the Bailey’s and how their families have grown. The SPS has become such an integral part of the community. It’s almost inspiring. Harvey is adorable as always. And a trip to a certain winery is always a fun treat.

Brought the story to life!!

I absolutely loved this book so I had to grab the audio right away and I’m SO glad I did. They brought these characters to life and I did not want it to end. The bad guy in this one was fantastic and so creepy, he gave me chills. Enjoyed this one a lot. Definitely a must listen!

Suspenseful, Heartfelt, and Absolutely Addictive – Another Hit from Claire!

Whispers and Wildfire, at no surprise to me, was absolutely amazing! Claire has done it again—delivering a story that’s equal parts warm and full of deliciously creepy suspense. I was hooked from the first chapter, completely drawn in by the tension and emotional depth.

Claire, you are so good at writing eerie twists that keep me on the edge of my seat! I loved every second. The characters were vivid and compelling, and the storyline had just the right mix of mystery, emotion, and that signature Claire magic. 10 out of 10—highly recommend!

And can we talk about the narration? Marcio and Erin were phenomenal. They truly brought Luke and Melanie to life, capturing every nuance and emotion. The performances added another layer of richness to an already stellar book.

All of Claire’s books are chef’s kiss, and this one is no exception. Can’t wait for the next!

Love, pickles and danger

I loved, loved, loved Luke and Melanie’s second chance small town romantic suspense tale. The story had the perfect blend of sweet moments, spice, laughs, supportive friends and family, painful pasts, deep emotions, danger, suspense, and all the happy heart squeezing love. The slow ratcheting up of the tension that accompanies the hints and glimpses of the bad guy was delicious perfection. And hoo boy was he creepy. But don’t worry, the suspense was well balanced with the romance and the Tilikum small town goodness. Add in the chapters from a third POV to give us information about the bad guy without the MCs knowing things yet and it created a wonderful cocktail of awesomeness. Luke owns his own auto restoration shop in small town Tilikum. He has a good life but feels unsettled like something is missing. Melanie is a voice actress who has recently moved back home to Tilikum after her divorce. Luke and Melanie were HS sweethearts who broke up for reasons. Melanie is a spicy nice hot mess and Luke is a growly cinnamon roll with a bit of an adrenaline addiction. When Luke and Melanie run into each other, the sparks just leap off the page. The angry smexy banter paired with their internal monologues before they both get out of the way of their inevitable HEA was perfectly done. I was immediately caught up in the eye rolling ridiculousness of when will they which meant frantic page turning because I was equally desperate to finish the goodness of the story as I was to make it last. As always with this author, the story was well written and included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline. I cannot wait to read which Haven brother falls next especially since there are only two left.

The narrators were perfect for this story. Erin Mallon and Marcio Catalano did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly. And Robert Hatchett was such a perfect creepy Roswell. I really love the added dimension listening brings to an already phenomenal story.

Loved This Audio

I am so in love with this book... but not for the reasons you may think! Claire has just written my absolute favorite FMC! I love the Haven family and their dynamic. But I felt like Melanie stole this second chance romance with her personality.

Melanie and Luke were high school sweethearts, and they have been apart for years. But after coming home and running into Luke, things take a turn.
Luke is very swoony, and I adored him and the way he never stopped caring for Melanie even after all the years apart.
Melanie has this personality that rivals any other. I loved her lack of a filter. She said what she thought. Sometimes, she was just speaking the truth when, at other times, she probably didn't mean to say what she did.
I swear that made her the most endearing!!

I really liked this audio. I loved the way they had a different voice for Roswell. That made this story so much easier to follow in audio.
Erin Mallon is a master at this narrating business, and it shows in her performance as Melanie!
Marco Catalano is great with the part of Luke. He has this smooth and steady voice that is perfect for the character.
Robert Hatchet was the best addition to this audio as Roswell. He made him sound more suspenseful in the way he did the voice.

I can't wait to see which Haven is next!!
