Intense drama, suspense and a hint of romance

Where the Blame Lies is a long, intense dramatic novel about a young college student, Josie, who was kidnapped and managed to escape from her captor. Nine years later the police inform her a copy cat killer has appeared. it's narrated in the third person by Josie and Zach, the police detective on the case. Josie narrates in two time frames, the present and her experiences during the kidnapping. I enjoyed listening to the audio version.

Excellent suspenseful story!

Excellent suspenseful story! Great characters. Surprising plot twists. I don't think I'd read any books by Sheridan before this, but I will be looking for them now.

Exciting and thrilling

The book started a bit slow but once you get into it you become part of the story wanting to help solve the mystery; good story and the narrator(s) did well to keep my attention throughout the story.

This book is absolute perfection! The story is phenomenal and the performance is fantastic.

Another amazing book full of emotion by Mia Sheridan. Teddy and Callie both did wonderful giving this story voice. Loved it!!

I Couldn't Put It Down

This story was intense and I couldn't put it down. Mia interworked so many layers to this story it was amazing. I felt a little jilted by the ending though.

listened frantically for each word, each insight. The story built on each intense moment to a cresendo that explodes with amazing clarity. The characters were engaging and I couldn't get enough. Even the evil, the man who kidnaps her was multi-faceted. He was so fascinating that you couldn't wait to hear more. Even thoughb what he was doing was so horrific you couldn't wait to hear more. He was smart and engaging in a way that was terrifying but still more than just some random horror thrown in for horror's sake. There was reason, and genius in him.
The reading and performances were well done. Well thought out and powerful. What a great book! I can't wait for the next one!
