Where the Truth Lives

Wow, ok so I finished book 1 for the second time so that I wouldn’t have any holes in my memory when I started this one.

This book was pretty great actually I feel like we got closure that we did and didn’t get from the first book.
There were a lot of little things that make up the whole of this book it was a little confusing at times because there are just soo very many characters but once I got that worked out I really liked how this book played out.

The romance was a nice story-line and I think because these books are so content heavy with serious stuff we needed something to root for.

Again I am glad we got closure on a few things that were left hanging from book 1. I don’t want to give anything away I will just say that Reed is one heck of a good man and I love that he respects Josie and Zach the way that he does.

Again great narrators, two of my favorites.

WOO just WOW

This is one of my favorite books I have listen to. I can’t think of anything negative only positive about everything.

Amazing

I love this series, but girl, does the Cincinnati Police know what you're writing about them? 😳😳 Glad there was less smut in this one than the last one though. I have suggested these books to a few of their officers though.

This is my review for both ‘Where the Blame Lies’ and ‘Where the Truth Lives’ (no spoilers)

Both books offer complete stand-alone story arcs, but there is also an overarching story.
Or better said, a loose end from ‘Where the Blame Lies’ comes to a conclusion in ‘Where the Truth Lives’.
For this reason I would highly recommend reading both books, and reading them in the correct order.

I really enjoyed the romance and suspense in both of these books.
I liked the main characters, their character developments, the writing style and plot.
It was believable enough for me to enjoy and go along with, but not quite enough to give them a 5 star rating.
Some emotional reactions/ character developments seemed a bit too perfect and some physical details surrounding a kidnapping didn’t completely ring true to me.
Target audience is adults.

Both the books have the same narrators, and their performance was excellent.

Great book!

Loved the story line in this book. I’ve only read one other book but this author but have enjoyed both so far. Great details for the setting of the story. Love the characters and their stories. Would highly recommend!

Had to know how the story ended

I had just finished the first book in this series, Where The Blame Lies, and needed to listen to this one next to see what happened. Listened to the entire thing in 2 days. I enjoyed it even more than the first one and was sad when it ended! I’m going to be looking for more of Mia Sheradon’s books to listen to next. (P.S- if I could change one thing about this series, it would be to leave out so much of the swearing, especially taking the Lords name in vain. I really don’t appreciate that and cringed so many times.)

Another fantastic story!

I loved it! There was not only a riveting suspense storyline but also well timed humor and personal connection between the main and supporting characters.

just blown away

Mia Sheridan's writing is just amazing. She kept me guessing the entire time. She made me feel all the suspense, fear, love, and intrigue. This was a brilliant story and the narrators were absolutely perfect in their roles. I really enjoyed this book.

5 big shiny stars! I wish there were more books in this series!

I loved this story. It was as excellent as the first book, Where the Blame Lies. New characters and old are well rounded people you end up caring deeply about. There is suspense, action, twists, love and some steam. The narration in the audible version is excellent as well. 5 big shiny stars!

Enthralling!

Wow! Another smash from this author! The author does a good job bringing me into the story and caring about the characters. This is wonderful crime thriller with some romantic suspense. This has a lot of characters that help bring this story to life. Reed is great! I enjoyed his thought process and courage. Elizabeth has been through the ringer. She and Reed had some amazing growth. I loved seeing Zach and Josie from the first book.

I did listen to this on audio. Teddy Hamilton and Callie Dalton are the narrators. They both brought their A game and enhanced this story for me.
